An excellent opening with a leading manufacturing company for compressors, construction and mining equipment based in Pune is looking for Technical Writer having experience and knowledge of mechanical engineering.

 

Tasks

·         Research for information needed to create new instruction manuals

·         Create instruction manuals according to customer specifications in cooperation with the project teams

·         Coordinate and prepare copying and shipment of instruction manuals

·         Supervise the creation of technical manuals by external service providers and monitor the project costs

·         Maintain the existing basic documents (basic versions of instruction manuals)

·         Maintain and manage the Content-Management-System text modules

·         Maintain contact to customers, request sub-suppliers’ documentation

·         Create and coordinate deliveries of Quality Dossier related to project jobs

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities

·         Knowlwdge of mechanical engineering and manufacturing, read and understand engineering drawings and flow diagrams

 

·         High level of receptiveness and coordinating abilities

·         High level of accurate and target-oriented processing of data and information related to the product

·         Excellent command of English, high stress resistance and good team spirit

·         Advanced knowledge of standard PC systems and software (Windows, Office [Access, Excel], Photoshop etc)

·         Excellent knowledge of Winword and Acrobat

·         Knowledge of common standards and guidelines for technical documentation, especially of mechanical engineering and plant manufacturing
