SOMERVILLE, MA, USA, Nov 4, 2021 – Formlabs, the leading 3D printing company, announced the launch of Form Wash L and Form Cure L, a fully automated post-processing system for the company’s line of large format printers, the Form 3L and Form 3BL. With Form Wash L and Form Cure L, users can now streamline their 3D printing workflow by automating the post-processing of their large-scale and high-volume prints to consistently produce high-quality parts. Together, the pair complete Formlabs’ large-format SLA ecosystem, offering an intuitive end-to-end solution for printing and processing professional-quality parts and making it the ideal 3D printing solution for cost-effective, in-house, large-scale production.

“The introduction of our large format printers, Form 3L and Form 3BL, enabled Formlabs to open up our industry-leading SLA 3D printing technology to a whole new group of users at an accessible price while maintaining the professional quality Formlabs is known for,” said Dávid Lakatos, Formlabs’ Chief Product Officer. “With the addition of the Form Wash L and Form Cure L to our SLA ecosystem, we are providing even greater ease-of-use and automation to our customers.”

Form Wash L cleans SLA 3D printed parts after printing while Form Cure L completes the curing process to help parts achieve peak mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy. The two machines are compatible with Formlabs’ entire line of SLA printers and can be used for both large parts or high throughput of smaller parts.

Post-processing with Wash L and Cure L automates and streamlines the workflow by offering users pre-programmed settings that are tuned to each Formlabs resin. These large format solutions have also been validated and are compatible with the majority of our SLA materials, including biocompatible, sterilizable materials made in our ISO 13485 facility.

The completion of Formlabs large-format 3D printing ecosystem will enable users to take control of their large-scale production, increase throughput and bring their biggest ideas to life. Designed with users in mind, the entire ecosystem – from printer to material to post-processing – offers users a hassle-free, intuitive experience. Large-format prints are often outsourced leading to costly prototypes and long lead times. With access to an entire ecosystem of products, Formlabs makes it easier than ever to bring production in-house to save time and money.

Formlabs user Paul Lake, Lead Engineer at Watts Water Technologies, added: “I can’t imagine trying to take advantage of the Form 3L system without Form Wash L and Form Cure L. I am looking forward to utilizing the Form 3L throughout our organization so we can streamline the development of our products across the company.”
