ALLPLAN Bags Major Order from Autobahn GmbH of German Federal Government

MUNICH, Germany, Feb 28, 2022 – ALLPLAN, global provider of BIM solutions for the AEC industry, has received a major order from the Autobahn GmbH of the German Federal Government. With the introduction of a uniform solution for the core processes of design, construction, operation and maintenance, Europe’s largest infrastructure operator will in future rely on Allplan as a cross-disciplinary platform that accompanies and integrates the design and construction process throughout all service phases.

Since January 1, 2021, the Autobahn GmbH of the German Federal Government has been responsible for the planning, construction, operation, maintenance, financing and asset management of the autobahns and trunk roads in Germany. In addition to the headquarters in Berlin, there are 10 branches with 41 affiliated regional offices throughout Germany. These include around 230 operational units throughout Germany, such as freeway maintenance depots, telecommunications master depots, traffic and tunnel control centers, etc. With 13,000 kilometers of highway and around 15,000 employees, the company is one of the largest infrastructure operators in Europe.

The major order, which was signed in December 2021, includes the delivery of 2.850 licenses. These are to enable the simplest and fastest possible processing of 2D plans through to complex 3D BIM models for structural engineering. Furthermore, a service contract for four years was concluded for technical support. In addition, ALLPLAN provides user-specific training for up to 3,000 users. From the beginning of 2022, Allplan is to be successfully used by the Autobahn GmbH of the German Federal Government.

Dr. Detlef Schneider, CEO of ALLPLAN, comments: “We are pleased that we will be able to actively support the Autobahn GmbH of the German Federal Government in the future in the end-to-end digitalization of planning, construction, maintenance and operation of their infrastructure projects. The trust in our competence and performance shows that our solutions meet the high expectations of the AEC industry for a future-oriented BIM solution for efficient design-to-build processes.”

For ALLPLAN, the order is an important milestone in the expansion of its competence in the infrastructure sector and strengthens its position in this market segment.
