LUCERNE, Switzerland, Mar 8, 2022 – BETA CAE Systems announces the release of NEERE v1.3.0.
With a focus towards even more collaboration, NEERE now allows users to join sessions in various collaboration scenarios. Loyal to our goal for continuous improvement we are introducing NEERE Desktop application to eliminate web browser versioning dependencies and instabilities, as well as the capability to lock rooms to increase security and privacy.
Release highlights
Following ANSA and META, DEEN, becomes also available for collaboration sessions in NEERE. DEEN users are able to collaborate with other DEEN and/or META users in scenarios including desktop and/or VR users.
NEERE Desktop, a standalone application, is now available. It provides full NEERE functionality and gives the user the option to avoid issues related to browser versioning.
Private sessions are made possible with the lock room feature. Room owners can lock their room and select which of the existing room participants will have access during the locking period, to avoid interruptions.
Notifications are redesigned and further extended. The notification size limit is increased to 200 characters. Filtering options to select/deselect the recipients of notifications are now available. Such filters include the present or absent status, and the name, or email of participants in the room. Also, the capability to send a notification via email is now offered.
Inside the room, the reconnect button has been added next to the sound control button. It restarts the audio/video connection, to avoid refreshing the page when network connection issues lead to temporary audio/video disruptions.
Chat history deletion is now available to the room owners in the context menu of the chat.
All users now have the option to mute chat sounds. When this option is activated, it applies to all rooms, even if they are open, in different tabs in the browser.
In the main page with all the rooms listed, the option to copy the URL of a room is available to all users in the menu of each room.
During a desktop sharing collaboration scenario fitting options according to width or height are added. Furthermore the tag of the active speaker is always visible with the option to deactivate it as well.
Custom executables to launch ANSA/META/DEEN can also be added in NEERE Client.
NEERE Authorization has been enhanced to offer better control to administrators with regards to which NEERE resources are accessible to which users. Additionally time based access to each NEERE resource is supported.
