CYPE Signs Collaboration Agreement with University of Malaya through its Malaysian Distributor KSDC

ALICANTE, Spain, Jan 4, 2022 – CYPE has signed a collaboration agreement with the University of Malaya (Malaysia) in order to facilitate student training for using its applications adapted to an Open BIM workflow, and improving their knowledge of cutting-edge technology that will prepare them for the challenges faced by the construction industry.

Therefore, CYPE will provide the students with the licenses required for using and learning how to operate its software through the BIMserver.center platform, with a special emphasis on solutions regarding energy efficiency and building renovations. The agreement will last for three years and also involves joint participation in an international research project throughout this period.

Training for the professors at the University of Malaya will be provided by the local CYPE distributor in Malaysia, KSDC, whose experts will actively collaborate with the heads of the academic institution’s “Area of Built Environment Innovation and Digital Technology”. More specifically, the distributor will offer training to lecturers in a wide range of areas such as Open BIM workflow, architectural design, structural analysis and design, installations, renovations and energy efficiency, management and documentation, and life cycle analysis.

Carlos Fernández, CYPE’s technical director, notes that thanks to this agreement, the company’s solutions will enter Malaysian university classrooms for the first time on a regular basis, helping to enhance the implementation the company is carrying out in Malaysia by adapting its programmes to local regulations, which are already facilitating technicians’ work.

The digitalization that CYPE’s solutions contribute to the construction industry is all thanks to implementing their Open BIM methodology, i.e. working in the cloud. CYPE also offers a wide range of tools that enable highly accurate designs and analyses. Both the aforementioned digitalization and their wide range of applications are other reasons that are facilitating the use of their applications in Asia, as they provide professionals with greater productivity and competitiveness. All this is combined with the latest technologies such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality or 3D printing, among others.
