MAYSVILLE, KY, USA, Mar 17, 2022 – Carlson Software has opened a service center for its Laser Measurement Devices (LMD) products at the Carlson headquarters office in Maysville, Kentucky. The new service center provides both repair and calibration services for the mining product range: Boretrak, C-ALS, Quarryman, and Void Scanner.
Carlson’s current LMD service center locations are in Ottawa, Canada; Victoria, Australia; and the LMD engineering and manufacturing office in York, United Kingdom. The new U.S. service center will provide direct services to customers in the U.S., Central America, and South America.

Carlson LMD is a line of precision mapping systems that support open pit, quarrying, underground mining, and other unique applications. The LMD product line features the C-ALS Gyro for mapping inaccessible areas, the Boretrak2 borehole deviation measurement system, the Void Scanner+ (VS+) time of flight scanner, the Quarryman Pro for profile scanning, and the FiX1 fixed stockpile and volumetric scanner. Carlson acquired the LMD division from Renishaw in 2017.
