CIMdata Announces 2022 PLM Market & Industry Forum Series

ANN ARBOR, MI, USA, Dec 22, 2021 – CIMdata, Inc., the leading global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) consulting and research firm, announces its 2022 PLM Market & Industry Forum schedule and theme.

The theme for 2022 is “Sustainability: PLM Essential to Facing this Global Challenge.” Sustainability has gone from one of many topics in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs to a global imperative, and PLM is essential to a systemic response. Leading PLM software and service providers define the needed metrics, measurement approaches, and enabling technology for their industrial clients. Those clients are pushing toward the “triple bottom line,” assessing CSR efforts based on impacts on people, the planet, and profit. In this Forum, CIMdata will highlight the issues and focus on how the global PLM Economy is responding and how well their industrial clients are achieving their sustainability objectives.

For 2022, we plan to host four Forums. The first will occur in Ann Arbor, MI, USA, as a one-day, in-person event at the end of March. This event will be followed in early April by three virtual-live events covering EMEA, China, and Japan geographies.

According to Stan Przybylinski, CIMdata’s Vice President, “Sustainability has gone from a small part of a company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program to a strategic imperative. While sustainability objectives can be quite broad, the PLM Economy and the products and services it can provide are critical to most aspects facing industrial firms today. The Forum this year focuses on the Sustainability Imperative and how firms are adapting to this new normal.”

We will cover the following topics:

  • The current state of PLM – market and leading trends
  • PLM global market analysis for the 2021 calendar year
  • The sustainability imperative
  • Sustainability and PLM
  • Enabling sustainability in the PLM economy

The agenda will also consider several key enabling technologies that support Industry 4.0, including;

  • The Multi-View BOM
  • Enterprise Application Architecture
