Nikon SLM Solutions to Begin Production of NXG XII 600 in US

LONG BEACH, CA, USA, Jul 1, 2024 – Nikon SLM Solutions is pleased to announce the commencement of production for the NXG XII 600 metal additive manufacturing system in the United States. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to expanding our manufacturing capabilities and enhancing service for our North American customer base with “American Made” systems.

The production of these systems, located at a facility in South Carolina, will enhance our ability to meet the growing demand for advanced metal additive manufacturing solutions across key industries, including aerospace, defense, automotive, and energy. By localizing production of these systems in the US, Nikon SLM Solutions demonstrates its dedication to providing reliable, cost-efficient, and flexible systems tailored to the specific needs of our customers.

Our U.S. operations will adhere to the following acts and regulations, ensuring compliance and quality assurance:

  • Buy American Act (“BAA”), 48 C.F.R. § 52.225-2(a)
  • Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (“DFARS”), DFARS §§ 225.872-1(a), 225.003
  • Trade Agreements Act (“the TAA”), 48 C.F.R. § 52.225-5(a)

Consequently, NXG XII 600 products are BAA-compliant domestic end products, meet the DFARS requirements for DOD-related sales, and are also TAA-compliant U.S.-made end products.
