HANOVER, MD, USA, Jul 24, 2025 – Phillips Corporation has officially partnered with InssTek, Inc., a global leader in metal Directed Energy Deposition (DED), to distribute the company’s flagship systems — the MX-Lab and MX-Fab — across the United States. These advanced powder-fed metal 3D printers are now available through Phillips Additive to support research, education, and government and commercial manufacturing initiatives.

The collaboration was showcased at RAPID + TCT 2025 in Detroit, where the MX-Lab was on display in the Phillips Additive Hybrid booth. Attendees explored InssTek’s Direct Metal Tooling (DMT) technology, offering closed-loop melt pool monitoring, open parameter control, and the ability to alloy multiple metal powders.
