Design Assistance – AI-powered tools like the Design Assistant in SOLIDWORKS Cloud use machine learning to automate repetitive tasks, such as selecting edges or applying mates. Here are few automation capabilities of cloud-based designing apps.
- Generative AI for Selections: The Selection Helper tool, powered by generative AI, automates the selection process, saving time and reducing repetitive tasks. This is especially useful in XFrame for creating complex structures.

It is designed to revolutionize CAD design by embedding generative AI technologies into the platform. Aura acts as a conversational chatbot that learns from users, teaches them, and performs tasks on their behalf. It enhances productivity and ensures secure intellectual property management.
Aura is part of the broader “3D UNIVRSES” initiative, which integrates AI deeply into Intellectual Property Lifecycle Management (IPLM). It offers generative experiences for tasks like assembly, design, testing, and validation. Aura will be available on any device.
