DN Solutions Breaks Ground for New R&D Center in Bengaluru

BENGALURU, India, Aug 26, 2025 – On August 13, 2025, DN Solutions held a groundbreaking ceremony at the new plant site in the ITIR (Information Technology Investment Region) industrial complex near Bengaluru International Airport. The event was attended by more than 50 people, including DN Solutions India Managing Director Young-sam Kim, employees, and partner company representatives, who wished for safety and zero accidents during the construction period.

With the construction of the new plant, DN Solutions plans to significantly strengthen its production capacity in India and accelerate its localization strategy. The new plant is scheduled to be completed and begin mass production in the first half of next year. It will produce locally customized products, including the SVM 4100i vertical machining center, which has received strong positive feedback from Indian customers.

In early July, DN Solutions carried out its largest-ever recruitment drive for university graduate engineers since entering the Indian market, thereby expanding its workforce. The new recruits, with an average age of 22, majored in mechanical engineering and electrical/electronic engineering at leading universities in Bengaluru and Karnataka. They are expected to grow into key technical personnel of the new plant and play a central role in local development and production systems.

Earlier this year, DN Solutions announced a mid- to long-term strategy for the Indian market, which included establishing a new plant and an R&D center in Bengaluru, with plans to hire more than 500 people locally by 2032.
India, with the world’s largest population and high economic growth, is emerging as a key hub of global manufacturing. Active investments are underway in sectors with high demand for machine tools, such as automobiles, electronics, and energy infrastructure, while the Indian government is also actively fostering manufacturing and attracting foreign direct investment.

Bengaluru, where DN Solutions’ new plant and R&D center are being built, is often called the “Silicon Valley of India.” The city has abundant high-level talent in advanced manufacturing, automation, IT, and basic science. Global manufacturers, including Foxconn, are expanding production bases there, and Korean companies are also entering actively. Thanks to its geographical proximity to major industrial areas in India, strong supply chains, and stable state government policies, Bengaluru is considered an optimal location for manufacturing. About one-quarter of India’s machine tool companies are concentrated in Bengaluru.

DN Solutions CEO Won-jong Kim stated “With the groundbreaking of our new plant and the recruitment of young talent, DN Solutions has become even closer to Indian manufacturing. We will continue striving to be a company that contributes to the prosperity of India’s manufacturing industry.”
