Axtra3D Expands Dental Solutions Portfolio; Strengthens Integration with Oqcam

CHARLOTTE, NC, USA, Feb 23, 2026 – Axtra3D is expanding its dental solutions portfolio with the launch of new Printodent GR-19.1 OA | MSI from pro3dure.

With this material, Axtra3D adds a biomimetically functionalized resin to its validated dental portfolio. The integrated MSI technology is designed to reduce biofilm adhesion on the surface of orthodontic splints by interfering with bacterial communication mechanisms, without relying on antibiotic principles or creating resistance pathways.

Dental Solutions

For dental labs, this translates into improved hygiene performance in daily clinical use, combined with high wearing comfort enabled by the material’s thermo-adaptive behavior. In combination with Axtra3D’s Hi-Speed SLA technology, labs benefit from precise fit, smooth surface quality, and reproducible serial production of orthodontic appliances.

With this addition, we have expanded the dental solutions portfolio to 12 high-performance materials available with fully optimized print profiles for the Lumia X1 Dental 3D printer. The new addition takes full advantage of the Hi-Speed SLA platform and HPS technology to deliver unmatched accuracy, surface quality, and efficiency for dental labs.

“With these solutions, dental labs and clinics can seamlessly integrate 3D printing into their workflows while achieving superior precision, repeatability, and throughput. Whether it’s models, splints, dentures, or crowns, this portfolio unlocks new levels ROI and efficiency in digital dentistry,” says Steffen Reinfurth, VP Global Dental, at Axtra3D.

In parallel, Axtra3D has further strengthened the integration of its Volume software with Oqcam, delivering a more streamlined, production-ready workflow for dental labs and service providers. The enhanced integration enables AI-supported automation, real-time nesting, and intelligent job preparation, significantly reducing manual preparation time while increasing machine utilization and throughput.

This tighter coupling between data preparation, quality assurance, and production control allows labs to move towards scalable, industrialized dental manufacturing, with higher consistency and lower operational overhead.

About Axtra3D

Based in the US and Italy, Axtra3D is a global company specializing in Hi-Speed SLA systems that eliminates tradeoffs between print throughput, accuracy, feature resolution, and surface finish, typically found in traditional SLA or DLP systems.

The flagship Lumia X1 Hi-Speed SLA system by Axtra3D represents a significant advancement, combining its Hybrid PhotoSynthesis resin polymerization process with TruLayer, a layer separation technology. HPS utilizes both a laser and a DLP to image simultaneously, while TruLayer enables rapid detachment of the active print layer, resulting in a 20X throughput improvement while preserving the accuracy and fidelity of SLA parts.

Axtra3D operates with two business models.

Axtra Solutions: This model provides fully optimized, turnkey 3D printing solutions. Customers receive complete print profiles fine-tuned for maximum performance and reliability, supported by Axtra3D’s Applications team and quality material partners.

Axtra OpenAccess: This model further builds on Axtra Solutions™ and allows customers the flexibility to experiment with new materials and applications. It supports innovation and adaptability, enabling added flexibility.
