LUCERNE, Switzerland, Oct 8, 2025 – BETA CAE Systems is pleased to announce the release of v25.1.3 for ANSA, EPILYSIS, META, KOMVOS, SPDRM and FATIQ, with critical bug fixes and selected implementations.

Follows an overview of the most important items:
Known issues resolved in ANSA
CAD Import / Export
ANSA would cease operating, during input of STEP files.
Geometry
Running “Checks > Penetration > Intersections” with a defined “Minimum depth ” on unmeshed Faces, would lead to unexpected termination.
Unexpected termination would also occur, when using the API functions base.PlaneCut() & base.FacesPlaneCut() with the argument entities=’all’.
GUI
ANSA would abort upon “Front Only” selection on meshes containing both polyhedral and non-polyhedral solids.
Shell Meshing
Remeshing .obj file format would lead to an unexpected termination.
Volume Meshing
Focusing on Structured Mesh, ANSA would cease operating when the option “Collapse free edges” was activated.
In addition, volume entities generated by “Extrude” function would lose their property upon remeshing.
Focusing on Volume Mesh/ Octree, ANSA would terminate when deleting geometries, while having the “Hextreme” volume meshing window open.
Compare
ANSA would cease operating when using the model update wizard and no update report would be generated.
Data Management
While working with an SPDRM server-based DM, the saved Fastener features in DM, would not be properly recognized by the automated procedure of the Feature Manager.
Retopology
ANSA would occasionally terminate, upon execution of mesh.PolishMeshEdgesHigh(edges) script function.
CFD Decks
Exiting “Quality Inspector” function and having Cut Plane View active would lead to software abortion.
Moreover, plain polygons were falsely blocked during input.
Kinetics
Unexpected termination could occur during the input of ADAMS/View command file in Adams pre-processing mode.
Morphing
ANSA would exit abnormally in the following cases:
- When using the Alt+E shortcut to expand Morphed affected zones.
- In case of empty tube series existing in the list, upon execution of “Tubes > Depenetrate” function.
- Upon call of morph.MorphNumber() script function on a cylindrical morph edge, that was split in previous steps.
Known issues resolved in EPILYSIS
Keywords
RESVEC and AUTOSPC commands were not parsed at all, if appearing first in header.
Output
In case two different frequency requests were combined, while creating non-equidistant frequency steps, e.g. FREQ1 and FREQ3, the .unv output was wrong.
Optimization
Unexpected termination would occur, in case a DRESP1 referenced an element that would not be used in the model. From now on, a FATAL ERROR message is printed instead.
Known issues resolved in META
General
The default view selection of States list was ignored, despite being correctly saved in GUI.xml
Furthermore, session shortcut buttons, added to custom ribbon tabs, were not loaded from the META.xml upon launching META.
Abaqus
Issues occurred when reading .inp and .odb files saved under very long paths on Linux machines, where there is no character number limitation. Attempting to read these files on Windows would lead to unexpected termination.
Nastran
ERP results for panels from Nastran .pch files were not displayed properly in 3D.
Adams
Parts with names exceeding 99 characters would be ignored during the import of Adams models.
Fluent
High order elements were not exported correctly in Fluent .msh format.
OpenFOAM
OpenFOAM serial reading would terminate META.
States & Animation
States interpolation was not operating properly, if failed elements existed in the models.
Managing Curve Data
A locked custom range on an axis was not respected when loading new curves.
Renumber
Renumbering curve to an existing id would not work as expected.
NVH Calculators
Deleting and recreating an Abaqus modal component in FRF-Assembly would lead to unexpected termination.
The point mobilities were not calculated for TPA on control volume, when FRF components in universal file format were included in control volume.
TPA fraction on control volume would not operate properly, if the response node would use an ALC point local coordinate system.
Images & Video Handling
Unexpected termination could occur when trying to delete multiple markers from a video.
Report
Recorded videos could not be deleted on Windows OS, once they were inserted in Presentation mode.
Known issues resolved in KOMVOS
Data Management
Editing of multiple files and editing in an already open ANSA session would not work in case of solver files.
Machine Learning
The process “ML Training Improve” would fail to start, when “None” was selected for Curve results in the original Predictor training.
Known issues resolved in SPDRM
Data Management
Focusing on Search mechanism, a query for Subsystems which have Reports would not work. From now on, the following query can be used to detect such items:
Known issues resolved in FATIQ
License Management
FATIQ license and respective credits were not released when executing the command “Release License”.
Weld Fatigue
Unexpected termination would take place, upon input of Abaqus grid point forces.
Calculations
Wrong results were produced from a non-linear E-N analysis with Smith-Watson-Topper mean stress correction.
Download
Where to download from
- Customers who are served directly by BETA CAE Systems, or its subsidiaries, may download the new software, examples and documentation from their account on our server. They can access their account through the “download” link on our website.
- Contact us if you miss your account details. The Downloads menu items give you access to the public downloads.
- Customers who are served by a local business agent should contact the local support channel for software distribution details.
What to download
All files required for the installation of this version reside in the folders named “BETA_CAE_Systems_v25.1.3”, “KOMVOS_v25.1.3”, “SPDRM_v25.1.3” and “FATIQ_v25.1.3” and are dated as of September 22, 2025. These files should replace any pre-releases or other files downloaded prior to that date.
The distribution of this version of our pre- and post-processing suite is packaged in one, single, unified installation file, that invokes the respective installer and guides the procedure for the installation of the required components.
For the installation of the software on each platform type, download from the respective folders, the .sh file for Linux or the .msi file for Windows.
In addition to the above, optionally, the META Viewer is available to be downloaded for each supported platform.
The tutorials and the example files reside in the folder named “TUTORIALS”. This folder includes a complete package, and one with only the updated files.
The Abaqus libraries required for the post-processing of Abaqus .odb files are included in the installation package and can be optionally unpacked.
Earlier software releases are also available in the sub-directory called “Previous_Versions” or in a folder named after the product and version number.
