C‑Tech Selects Dassault’s 3DEXPERIENCE on Cloud to Accelerate Composite Innovation

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Dec 16, 2025 – Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: FR0014003TT8, DSY.PA) today announced that C‑Tech, a New Zealand–owned advanced composites manufacturer serving the global marine, defense and space industries, has selected the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the Cloud to transform its end‑to‑end design, engineering and manufacturing processes.

C-Tech chose Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud to transition from its long-standing software environment, which it had used close to 30 years. The company was seeking an integrated modeling and simulation) approach and a single data model spanning design, simulation and production. The project is being delivered in partnership with Invenio, Dassault Systèmes’ regional partner, and demonstrates further momentum for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud in New Zealand.

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Auckland, C‑Tech is an export‑led composites specialist with production in New Zealand and Spain and around 1,000 customers worldwide. In particular, C‑Tech is widely recognised in elite sailing, including America’s Cup campaigns (including Emirates Team New Zealand) and SailGP, where its battens, foils and sail hardware help yachts exceed 50 knots (~92.6 km/h). However, the company also has a portfolio that includes leading names in the heavy industry, marine, defence, aerospace, and space‑exploration sectors.

Invitation

As its global business scaled, C-Tech evaluated next-generation platforms that could provide integrated modeling and simulation, connected engineering and manufacturing workflows, and stronger data consistency to help accelerate development and scale production with confidence. To address these challenges, C‑Tech selected Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, deploying modeling, simulation, and design-to-manufacturing capabilities and tailored marine‑focused industry solution experiences such as “Sea Boat Builder.” The Dassault Systèmes environment now enables C-Tech to:

  • Accurately simulate composite structures and develop lighter, stronger products
  • Accelerate design validation by unifying modelling and simulation on a common data model
  • Reduce rework and errors in the design‑to‑manufacturing handover
  • Improve collaboration and revision management across teams and locations
  • Build a foundation for greater automation in future

“The performance envelope of our products depends on our ability to predict and control composite behaviour at a very detailed level. With the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, we can bring modeling and simulation together in one environment, validate our designs earlier, and push for lighter, stronger structures with greater confidence. Just as importantly, we now have a single source of truth that connects design, engineering and manufacturing across our New Zealand and Spanish operations,” said Riley Dean, Global Chief Technology Officer, C‑Tech.

“C‑Tech exemplifies how New Zealand manufacturers are using cloud platforms to rethink how they design, validate and build high‑performance products. The company’s adoption of our 3DEXPERIENCE platform underscores our momentum in New Zealand and across the region, as more customers look to the cloud to improve agility, streamline processes and unlock new ways of working,” said Patrick Ong, Senior Sales Director – Customer Process Experience, Asia Pacific South, Dassault Systèmes.

Invenio is a specialised engineering and enterprise software solutions provider and a long‑standing partner of Dassault Systèmes in the Asia‑Pacific region. Invenio supports customers across Australia and New Zealand with consulting, implementation, training and support services, helping organisations adopt and optimize the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and related solutions to drive innovation, operational efficiency and business growth.

“By moving to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud, C‑Tech can concentrate on engineering and manufacturing excellence, instead of second-guessing their tools. It’s a powerful demonstration of CATIA’s versatility across industries – from SailGP and the America’s Cup to aerospace and defense programmes,” said Sam Sanders, Enterprise Sales Leader, Invenio.
