Maplesoft Suspends Business Operations in Russia

WATERLOO, ON, Canada, May 5, 2022 – It has been 2 months since Russia invaded Ukraine, and everyone at Maplesoft is shocked by the humanitarian crisis that has unfolded. We strongly condemn this unprovoked Russian invasion and stand with the people of Ukraine in support of peace, democracy, and human rights.

We have made the difficult decision to suspend all business activities in Russia. We understand and regret the impact of such a decision on people in Russia that do not support their regime in this conflict. However, we cannot condone any usage of our products potentially supporting the war effort. We have suspended all sales and discontinued all media, advertising and business expenditures in Russia. In addition, together with our employees, we are supporting the international humanitarian efforts in Ukraine with resources and donations. Additionally, we are offering our products free for one year to customers in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian people have shown exceptional bravery as they fight for their families, their country, and their freedom. They are an inspiration to the world, and our fervent hope is that their efforts are not in vain. Like so many others, we join the international call for a resolution to this unlawful and unjust conflict before any more innocent lives are lost.

May peace and the international rule of law prevail.
