SANTA CLARA, CA and NOIDA, India (Jan. 8, 2026) – HCLSoftware, a global leader and enterprise software products unit of HCLTech, announces the release of HCL CAMWorks for 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS with the release of HCL CAMWorks 2025.
HCL CAMWorks is now seamlessly integrated with 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS, facilitating the power of data management and cross-discipline collaboration in the cloud. Cloud-connected technologies allow companies to collaborate and combine expertise during new product development across several disciplines, including engineering, design, and manufacturing.
CAMWorks for 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS is fully compatible with CAMWorks and SOLIDWORKS CAM data from the SOLIDWORKS desktop version. This gives companies the flexibility to coordinate CNC part programming across multiple platforms and share data between the new CAMWorks for 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS and the desktop versions of SOLIDWORKS CAM and CAMWorks.
HCL CAMWorks 2025 also includes several additional enhancements. Machine Aware Programming has been extended to include machine components, collision detection, and an option to pause on collision. Machine Aware Programming provides CAM programmers with the ability to create a CNC setup and program a part on a digital twin of the CNC machine. By including a digital twin of the CNC machine in the process, CAM programmers gain instant graphic awareness of the machine’s table size, travel limits, rotational limits, and available tooling to ensure the viability of the planned machining process.
Typically, machine simulation has only been used after a program is complete, to verify the machining process and identify any collisions that might occur on the CNC machine. Now with Machine Aware Programming, the CNC machine has become an interactive part of the CNC programming process. As a result, CNC programmers can identify potential issues earlier in the programming process, increasing productivity and improving part quality.
Other enhancements in HCL CAMWorks 2025 include bar break chamfers, additional tool options for automatic deburring, and the ability to specify collets as a work holding device for turn and mill-turn machines which are ideal for workholding smaller diameter bar stock due to their high clamping force and accurate alignment.
