Cimatron Releases DieQuote for Stamping Die Cost Estimation

PETAH TIKVA, Israel, May 28, 2025 – Cimatron today released Cimatron DieQuote, a new cloud-based software solution that enables the rapid creation of comprehensive stamping die cost estimates using intelligent algorithms and customizable design parameters. The solution helps tool and die manufacturers improve productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that estimates reflect the numerous factors that influence how stamping dies are developed and produced.

Cost estimation is a process often riddled with inaccuracies, as the need to quickly provide job estimates can be at odds with the desire to quote with precision. The ability to quickly and efficiently build accurate and comprehensive quotes ensures that bids truly reflect the work that a company will perform.

Cimatron DieQuote was developed to generate estimates that reflect the preferences and characteristics of individual businesses and automate the tedious manual calculations and laborious data entry common to traditional cost estimation. Using sophisticated algorithms, the software eliminates guesswork by calculating factors such as material preferences and costs, machining time, manufacturing processes, component complexity, labor rates, and overhead costs for job estimates.

“We’re empowering stamping die manufacturers with the data they need to make informed decisions and gain a competitive edge — whether they’re dealing with simple progressive dies or complex transfer dies,” said Dan Marinac, vice president of sales and marketing for Cimatron. “In as few as ten minutes, Cimatron DieQuote can help you not only understand job costs, but identify opportunities to optimize your die design and production processes.”

Cimatron DieQuote identifies geometrical features for forming, flanging, piercing, trimming, and restriking operations, and provides tools for optimizing blank shapes and sizes for optimal nesting and material utilization. The software’s extensive and customizable materials database can be used to simulate forming processes for the prediction of material behavior and identification of potential problems early in the development process.

The software’s automated costing capabilities include the calculation of machining times, material usage, and other cost factors based on CAD (computer-aided design) data and user-defined parameters. Its reporting and analysis tools enable the creation of detailed cost reports, summaries, and historical data analyses that can help companies continuously improve the quality of job estimates.

Straightforward to learn with minimal training, Cimatron DieQuote offers an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that enables teams to quickly become proficient. It is cloud-based for easy accessibility from any web browser and supports the seamless sharing of estimation data across teams and with customers and suppliers, providing the tools needed for transparency and efficient communication.

For more information about Cimatron DieQuote, visit Cimatron DieQuote Webpage.
