ODA Adds Navisworks Export Support in BimNv SDK

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, USA, Mar 29, 2022 – Open Design Alliance (ODA), provider of complete interoperability solutions for CAD and BIM, announced the availability of export support for Autodesk Navisworks files from its BimNv SDK (Software Development Kit).

BimNv SDK is an independent, standalone solution for reading, visualizing and creating Autodesk Navisworks files.

“Our new export capability supports the creation of Navisworks files with no dependencies on the native Navisworks application,” said Neil Peterson, ODA President. “We offer C++ and .NET APIs, and our solution is available on Windows, Mac and Linux.

“Client applications can create Navisworks files from arbitrary 3D geometry, or from Autodesk® Revit®, IFC, DGN or DWG models. Models of different formats can also be combined prior to export, for example a Revit model and an IFC model can be combined into a single view, and then saved as a Navisworks file. It’s a convenient, powerful and flexible solution.”
