DARMSTADT, Germany, Mar 6, 2026 – The PLM consulting and software company PROSTEP will expand its future collaboration with Arcwide, the largest implementation partner of IFS. PROSTEP is providing its OpenPDM technology and extensive integration expertise in order to optimally support Arcwide customers and IFS user companies in integrating their PLM solutions with the IFS software solutions. The collaboration is the logical result of PROSTEP’s recently announced partnership with IFS, which grants PROSTEP access to the software manufacturer’s API technology. Based on this API, PROSTEP has developed an OpenPDM connector for integrating the IFS software solutions with PROSTEP’s proven Digital Thread Platform.
Arcwide is a global implementation partner and system integrator specializing in the deployment of IFS business software solutions. Headquartered in the Netherlands, the company was founded in 2022 as a joint venture between IFS and management and technology consultancy BearingPoint. Arcwide currently employs around 550 people in more than 20 countries, making it one of the largest IFS partners worldwide.
In recent years, the company has consistently expanded its market presence in the DACH region through strategic acquisitions such as the takeover of the Swiss bytics Group and the Austrian Kreuzbauer IT.
As a global IFS Elite Partner, Arcwide actively drives digital continuity for its customers and strategically relies on powerful integration solutions such as PROSTEP’s OpenPDM.
“The agreement with Arcwide is an important step for us to expand our expertise in PLM/IFS integration and to address new markets and customer segments,” says Peter Pfalzgraf, Head of Partner Management, commenting on the objectives of the collaboration. The globally active IFS partner has a strong presence not only in Europe, but also in North America, the Middle East, India, and other regions, serving customers in manufacturing, aerospace, energy, telecommunications, construction and engineering, as well as service oriented or service intensive industries.
The greatest value for customers comes from combining Arcwide’s deep process and IFS software expertise with PROSTEP’s integration technology. OpenPDM provides standardized connectors for common PLM, ALM, ERP, and MES systems, reducing the effort required to develop and maintain numerous point to point integrations and simplifying scalability.
“The established integration technology and the fact that there is already a functional connector to IFS ERP were key reasons for the collaboration from our perspective,” says Andreas Weigel, Global Head of Service Management at Arcwide.
“We also want to benefit from PROSTEP’s many years of experience to provide our customers with an even faster and more reliable connection between PLM and IFS solutions.”
PROSTEP and Arcwide intend not only to collaborate on integration projects but also plan joint events, trade fair appearances, and customer visits to acquire new projects. The shared goal is to enhance digital continuity for customers through powerful PLM/IFS integrations.
Both companies pursue the common objective of enabling seamless PLM/IFS connectivity for IFS customers and significantly accelerating their digital transformation.
