Renishaw India to Debut RCS Robot Calibration at Automation Expo 2025 in Mumbai

MUMBAI, India, Aug 1, 2025 – Global engineering technologies company, Renishaw, will attend Automation Expo 2025 in Mumbai for the first time, exhibiting its revolutionary RCS product series for industrial robot calibration. The company’s extensive range of position feedback encoders will also be shown, many of which are used by manufacturers of robots and industrial automation equipment to precisely control positioning in harsh environments. Renishaw’s Equator™ flexible gauge will also be of interest to visitors who are seeking a solution for machining operations, where measurement data can be used to update offsets for automated process control.

Dr. Kevyn Jonas, Director of Renishaw’s Industrial Automation Products Division says, “India’s leading automation trade show is the perfect launch pad to introduce our RCS robot calibration product series to the Indian market. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand at Automation Expo to showcase our innovations in industrial automation.”

My team is delighted to attend this prestigious global event that promises to place Renishaw alongside other industry leaders in robotics technology.”

Renishaw will unveil three products at Automation Expo which all sit within the RCS product series:

RCS L-90: a single linear ballbar in a portable toolkit, designed for tool and part frame set-up, tool frame verification, and robot joint repeatability tests.

RCS T-90: a tri-ballbar portable toolkit for advanced calibration, TCP reorientation, robot mastering, and robot recovery.

RCS P-series: a brand new range of robot-specific probes and tool setters, with the option of hard-wired, radio, and optical transmission and dual mounting options. Enabling the automatic location of tool and part frames, and autonomous recovery routines.

Dr. Jonas continues, “India’s role within the industrial automation market is rapidly changing and expanding, particularly within the automotive industry and electric car production. Renishaw’s metrology expertise enables us to combine robot accuracy with repeatability to rapidly advance automation. Offering robot engineers, integrators, and manufacturers the chance to reduce robot downtime, production waste, and manual maintenance efforts.”
