Description:

Urgent Opening for Design Engineer with one of the leading organization based in Pune for BE (Auto/Mech/Prod) with 2 to 3 years experience in an engineering design and test environment. 

Responsibilities 

• Participate in the acquisition, concept, and/or development of any module and all subcomponents using Catia V5 / NX / Pro-E. 
• Utilize the Behr Methods for design of components and modules 
• Cooperate with other product engineers and designers inside and outside of the project team 
• Participate in program team meetings and department meetings 
• Part design according to Behr standards, including STADE, or as requested by supervisors and/or project teams 
• Ensure production feasibility of designed part with assumed tooling. 
• Perform customer vehicle package studies and identify any design interferences 
• Use and support Behr part libraries, standard design concepts and design guidelines for named products 
• Creation and maintenance of 2D drawings and 3D CAD files according to Behr standards 
• Design of housing parts, doors, kinematics, seals, lines, heat exchangers. 
• Design and supplier guidance for injection molding tools 
• Apply GD&T according to given rules and guidelines 
• Ensure OEM design standards are adhered to as far as required 

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities. 
1. Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, mechanical refrigeration systems, automotive heating and air conditioning, and engine cooling. 
2. Knowledge of at least one CAD-System or language (Usually CATIA, NX, Pro/E) 
3. Good communication skills. 
4. Ability to write correspondence. 
5. Ability to be self-motivated and to operate independently. 
6. Ability to read and comprehend computer generated reports, engineering change orders, and test reports. 
7. Ability to be detailed results oriented, and accurate. 
8. Ability to comprehend and communicate technical information and calculate statistical data. 
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks smoothly with a high accountability level, and a substantial level of stress. 
10. Ability to work as a Team Member towards overall company objectives.
