BEACON India’s grand inauguration of its new office at Brigade Deccan Height, Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru marks a significant milestone in the company’s remarkable journey from a humble beginning in 2001 to becoming one of the most prominent SOLIDWORKS partners in India today.
The event began on an auspicious note with a pooja and traditional rituals, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by distinguished chief guests. The new office, located on the 14th floor, reflects BEACON’s growth, ambition, and commitment to delivering advanced engineering solutions while fostering a strong and collaborative work culture.
A key highlight of the facility is the memorial auditorium hall, built in honor of late Dr. Seshdari of the National Aerospace Laboratories. With a seating capacity of over 100, this hall is set to become a center for advanced technical seminars, customer engagement programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives in the Bengaluru region.
Mr. Joseph Jerome warmly welcomed customers, partners, and guests from across the country, setting the tone for a celebration that combined reflection, recognition, and future vision.
The presence of industry leaders added immense value to the occasion. Mr. Mani SBS shared insightful stories from the early days of SOLIDWORKS in India, recalling how he encouraged Mr. Varakumar Siddavatam to embark on the entrepreneurial journey that led to the formation of BEACON. He highlighted BEACON’s early success, including achieving over 90% of license sales in its initial phase and breaking into challenging government and defense sectors.
Mr. Deepak N G, Managing Director, Dassault Systèmes India, praised BEACON’s inspiring journey from a small startup to a leading partner. He reflected on Mr. Varakumar’s dedication—recalling instances of traveling long distances by bike to serve customers during early days —and emphasized how such commitment has shaped the company’s strong customer relationships. He expressed confidence that BEACON will continue to scale new heights with Dassault Systèmes’ solutions, including SOLIDWORKS, 3DEXPERIENCE, ENOVIA, and DELMIAWorks.
Mr. Ramakrishnan Venkataraman, Director, DS SOLIDWORKS, noted that BEACON has become synonymous with SOLIDWORKS in India, thanks to its consistent service excellence. He appreciated the company’s strong team culture, highlighting the long tenure of many employees, and extended best wishes for future expansions in Chennai and Hyderabad.
Mr. Michael Agam, APAC GM, Formlabs, appreciated BEACON’s partnership and was particularly impressed by the dedicated Formlabs experience center within the office, enabling customers to interact with solutions in a live environment.
Mr. P. M. Ravikumar, Former Board Member Dassault Systèmes India & Head SOLIDWORKS India, reflected on BEACON’s journey over the decades, applauding Mr. Varakumar’s leadership and his unique ability to maintain close relationships with thousands of customers. His remarks underscored the strong customer-first philosophy that defines BEACON.
In an emotional and inspiring address, Mr. Varakumar Siddavatam shared the story of BEACON’s inception, recalling the early struggles, the trust of his initial team, and the passion that drove the organization forward. He emphasized that the new office is not just an expansion but a symbol of perseverance, trust, and collective growth.
Mr. Arumuga Nainar, CEO of BEACON, presented the company’s future digital roadmap, outlining strategies focused on innovation, digital transformation, and customer enablement. With over 300 employees and more than 5,200 customers, BEACON continues to grow steadily, adding 5–6 new customers every week. He reiterated the company’s mission to empower customers through digital technologies and to be a trusted partner in their transformation journey.
The event also saw the presence of several distinguished guests from the industry, reflecting BEACON’s strong ecosystem and relationships across sectors.
