LUCERNE, Switzerland, Mar 15, 2021 – BETA CAE Systems announces the release of SPDRM v1.4.2. This version delivers a number of enhancements and fixes to the users of the most advanced Simulation Process Data and Resources Management software.
The most important enhancements and fixes are listed below.
Enhancements and known issues resolved
Enhancements
Performance
The loading of content in the Contents list and the Lifecycle Graph of Simulation Models, has been accelerated drastically.
The expansion of the Structure container in the data tree is now faster.
Data Management
An XML file containing the meta-data of the selected Rich Library item is now exported along with the item itself.
Data Views
The Contents list of Subsystems is enhanced to display the attributes of the listed items as additional columns, and to enable filtering.
Data Deletion
A notification balloon will now appear when a user attempts to delete a folder which contains files referenced by script actions.
Registered Applications / MIME-types
Export of a selection of Registered Applications and MIME-types is enabled.
It is now possible to open an attached/linked directory of a DM item through a MIME-type.
During the import of MIME-types, the resolution of conflicts between their associated Registered Applications and any existing Registered Applications has been improved.
Script API
A script function was introduced to enable the restoration of deleted items that still reside in the Search Deleted list.
Script Actions
During the import of Script Actions, a check has been added to verify the validity of the associated Data Types with respect to the Data Model.
Users Management – Security
Several usability improvements took place in the tool that fetches users from AD/LDAP.
Installer
The files required to setup the BETA Apps Launcher and Job Monitor Assistant are now delivered in the SPDRM Installation package.
Known issues resolved
Data Views
The Properties card of a DM Item with attached files/folders would not be displayed when the exported data structure was enabled.
The reference of a Subsystem with its parent Group Subsystem would not be reported in References list.
Data Search
A query for items with a blank attribute would not return the items missing this attribute.
The built-in SPDRM attribute “Type” could not be used in filtering rules for DM Items, in the Search DM workspace.
Data model properties could not be used in filtering rules, in the Search Deleted workspace.
Data Lifecycle
The contents of a Simulation Model would be erroneously updated, when connected to its previous version via script, and the contents of the base model would be stored instead in SPDRM.
Multi-Site
In some cases the export of runs would fail to export the corresponding files, when the action was triggered by a remote site.
Users Management – Security
While connected by role with no execute privileges on the Entities container, it was still possible to save Subsystems through ANSA.
The search list would display items for which the user did not have View permissions.
Script API
It would not be possible to get the target vault of the current role -through script- in case that the user belongs to a non-administrator role.
The target vault of current role would not be respected by script functions in case of multiple vaults, and subsequently the creation of items by non-administrator roles would fail.
Web Services – API
An entity without a representation file (e.g. subsystem with hierarchy only) would not be loaded properly in ANSA.
For more details about the new software features, enhancements and corrections please, refer to the Release Notes document.

Supported Platforms and System Requirements
The server software of SPDRM is currently available on Linux and MS Windows 64bits.
The client software of SPDRM is running under 64bit flavours of Linux and MS Windows.
The software requires a different license key to the rest of the products of BETA CAE Systems. This license key should be incorporated into the same license file, if such is already installed, and requires beta_lm, the proprietary license manager of BETA CAE Systems.
For details, refer to the System Requirements document.
