NAGAOKA, Japan, Oct 5, 2026 – As a member of the DMG MORI Group, DMG MORI Precision Boring Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Precision Boring“) has launched the new PBN 200 | 1250 Horizontal Boring Machining Center featuring significantly higher spindle speeds and feed rates compared with its predecessor. Leveraging Group synergies, the PBN 200 | 1250 incorporates DMG MORI-developed technologies such as an efficient chip management system, the ERGOline X control panel with CELOS X, and a user-friendly interface for reduced operator workload with enhanced shop floor productivity.
Horizontal boring machining centers are widely used in industries such as aerospace, semiconductors, construction machinery, and die & mold, where high rigidity and precision are essential for heavy-duty and deep-hole machining.
The PBN 200 | 1250 was developed to enable these operations continuously with the highest efficiency. Its high-speed boringMASTER spindle now outputs 400 V for up to 45% higher maximum output than before, reaching 80 kW (10% ED). Rapid feed rates of up to 25 m/min further contribute to shorter cycle times. To maintain high cutting performance even at maximum W-axis extension, the PBN 200 | 1250 features a Ø200 mm quill-type spindle for powerful machining deep inside large workpieces while avoiding interference, even in areas that are difficult to access using Z-axis travel alone. To accommodate a wide range of customer requirements, the PBN 200 | 1250 is also available with larger pallet sizes of 1,450 × 1,450 mm and 1,650 × 1,650 mm.
To address the three major obstacles*1 to automated production, the PBN 200 | 1250 can be equipped with advanced DMG MORI solutions such as the Zero Sludge Coolant Tank, which agitates coolant to efficiently collect sludge, and the built-in zeroFOG*2 mist collector for powerful mist collection inside the machine. These solutions enable stable long-term continuous operation with the highest productivity while significantly reducing the time required for cleaning and maintenance.
In addition, the PBN 200 | 1250 features ERGOline X with CELOS X, combining a large touchscreen with ergonomically arranged hardware buttons for intuitive and efficient machine operation. With its sophisticated technology and solutions, the PBN 200 | 1250 excels in stable long-term operation, sustainable manufacturing, and enhancing productivity.
