Lantek to Launch New Technology Campus in Bilbao for Advanced Manufacturing

VITORIA-GASTEIZ, Spain, May 27, 2026 – Lantek, the multinational company focused on software solutions for advanced manufacturing in the metal industry, has announced the signing of a framework agreement with the Euskadi Technology Park and its new urban campus located on the island of Zorrotzaurre, in Bilbao. Through this agreement, the company will establish its own building, the Lantek BNEST Technological Campus, located on plot RZ-9 within this new area set to become one of the main innovation hubs in the Basque Country.

Within this environment, designed as an island dedicated to knowledge, technology, innovation and smart industry, Lantek will develop a technology campus covering more than 6,000 square meters. The facility will bring together an open multivendor ecosystem for machine tool manufacturers, OEMs and technology centers, together with companies specialized in software, cloud technologies and artificial intelligence, with the aim of accelerating the digital transformation of the industrial sector.

“At this new campus, a space built for innovation and advanced technological specialization, we reinforce our commitment to the multivendor DNA that defines Lantek and to the strategy that has enabled us to grow internationally. Zorrotzaurre, an island with a strong industrial legacy and now a center for urban and technological transformation, provides the ideal setting to advance smart manufacturing and collaboration between leading industrial companies. This project strengthens our long-term trajectory while helping us continue attracting and developing specialized talent, encouraging an entrepreneurial ecosystem with an international outlook. It is a sustainable and strategic environment where technology and industry come together,” said Alberto López de Biñaspre, CEO of Lantek.

Zorrotzaurre is an urban regeneration project promoted by the Bilbao City Council that is transforming the former industrial peninsula into a new innovation district. The master plan, designed by the renowned Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, is redeveloping more than 800,000 square meters into a new urban environment designed for business activity, creativity, culture and social interaction.

A hub for innovation and technological talent

In the area of talent development and training, the campus will provide a dedicated environment for experimentation, simulation and testing of advanced technologies and next-generation digital environments. The facilities will include connected machines, Living Labs, training rooms and shared spaces designed for collaborative work

“At Lantek, we combine advanced machine connectivity, intelligent data processing and artificial intelligence technologies to move industrial manufacturing forward. We help manufacturers transition from traditional production environments to connected and efficient operations, improving productivity, process control and sustainability throughout every stage of manufacturing.

This new space is far more than a technology campus. It is an ecosystem designed to attract, develop and support talent that shares our vision for industrial innovation. Companies and projects focused on industrial transformation will find a strategic partner here to advance their digitalization processes, strengthen growth and lead the next stage of smart manufacturing,” added López de Biñaspre.

Lantek currently operates in more than 100 countries, works with over 1,200 machine models and serves more than 30,000 customers worldwide through its CAD/CAM, MES, ERP and analytics solutions for sheet metal, tube and structural steel manufacturing.
