TOLLAND, CT, USA, Sep 7, 2026 — Mastercam, the world’s leading provider of CAD/CAM software, and Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills International, is sponsoring the CNC Milling and CNC Turning competitions at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, the world’s largest international gathering of skills talent The 48th WorldSkills Competition takes place September 22–27, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China. The partnership puts Mastercam technology at the center of one of the world’s most prestigious showcases of vocational excellence. More than 1,400 competitors from over 70 countries and regions will compete across 62 skill areas, with an estimated 250,000 visitors expected to attend.
Often described as the “Olympics of Skills,” WorldSkills brings together the world’s best young professionals to compete across a wide range of trades and technologies. Most competitors are under 24 years old. The competition serves as a global benchmark for vocational excellence and draws government leaders, employers, and education policymakers from around the world to demonstrate the skills that will shape the future workforce.
Mastercam’s involvement with WorldSkills spans over 10 years. As a Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills International, Mastercam provides the CAM technology used in the CNC Turning and CNC Milling competitions.
Competitors program and machine precision components against international quality standards, judged on accuracy, efficiency, and process decisions under competition conditions.
