Following their partnership announcement in September 2021, the companies have produced a 3D software tool built using the Dyndrite Application Development Kit (ADK), which makes developing and exposing advanced inkjet printhead capabilities simple, easy and commercially viable for additive manufacturing machine builders.

“We have been extremely impressed with the development speed, robust capabilities and flexibility of the Dyndrite developer environment,” said Clive Ayling, managing director, Meteor Inkjet Ltd. “Meteoryte powered by Dyndrite is a perfect example of a tool that helps downstream customers with an accelerated path to success.”

New Meteoryte Product

The new Meteoryte software powered by Dyndrite offers machine developers an easy-to-use 3D geometry manipulation interface and imaging features to take full advantage of jetting print heads, generating droplets accurately and as quickly as possible. Meteoryte powered by Dyndrite features include:

  • Ability to import mesh/3D geometry
  • Easy geometry manipulation (move, rotate and scale)
  • A 3D viewport for build area visualization
  • Slicing at up to 1200 dpi
  • Production of monochrome images for input to the machine

Jetting machine builders, in particular those just getting started, face significant challenges in developing new machines, materials and software. Meteoryte powered by Dyndrite provides a powerful and extensible foundation for building both internal and customer-facing applications, including apps for additive CAM, materials and process development, process qualification and calibration, and automated production lines.

Meteoryte powered by Dyndrite will be demonstrated at Formnext 22:
