This milestone represents a major advancement for aerospace additive manufacturing and marks the first qualification of an alternative hardware and material ecosystem since Airbus introduced its stringent material and process requirements for high-performance polymer space applications.
Standard Material Qualification. No Proprietary Grades Required.
A key differentiator of the qualification is that ROBOZE achieved approval using its standard commercial ULTEM™ 9085 filament.
Unlike legacy systems that rely on proprietary or specialized aerospace-grade material variants, ROBOZE’s standard production material meets Airbus requirements for mechanical performance, flame retardancy, repeatability, process control, and traceability without requiring dedicated material formulations.
The result is a significantly simplified supply chain for aerospace manufacturers, reducing procurement complexity, inventory management requirements, and material qualification barriers.
The qualification validates the ROBOZE manufacturing process, thermal management architecture, and production controls, ensuring that components produced on ARGO 500 HYPERSPEED Mission Ready systems can achieve consistent and repeatable performance across distributed manufacturing environments worldwide.
