SPRINGFIELD, OR, USA, Feb 11, 2026 – SmartCAMcnc is pleased to announce the release of SmartCAM v2026. SmartCAM v2026 offers enhanced UI features and event operations.
Improvements to Tool Home Position:
- Now used by live tools in addition to the previously supported turning tools.
- New radial and axial tool orientation settings to the tool definition.

Improvements to Group functions:
- New Named Groups Manager – The Named Groups Manager now allows you to group the contents of one or more existing named groups giving you more control over your groups.
- New Macro Commands (MCL) to assist with Groups – As well as the Named Groups Manager, we have added new macro commands and enhancements to our macro options to continue our goal in allowing you to take control and automate more of your processes.
New Mask and Hide options added to the Planner:
Increase productivity with the ability to Hide, Mask or both directly from the Job Operations Manager.
CTK and MCL Automation improvements:
- Regenerative CTK/MCL Automation – Several SmartCAM functions, which were added using CTK panels and MCL macros, have been updated to support regeneration.
- CTK/MCL Automation Macro Updates – The macro command used to create a regenerative container from the results of a macro has been enhanced.
- CTK Automation Macro Path – The locations that SmartCAM examines, in order to find a PCB panel’s associated macro, has been expanded.
File Menu Most Recently Used (MRU) Preview:
The Most Recently Used (MRU) file list will now display a preview of PM5 files as they are hovered over. The preview image stored in the model file will be shown in a small window next to the highlighted filename.
