Tekna Secures CAD 1.64 Million Titanium Powder Order for LPBF Additive Manufacturing

ARENDAL, Norway and SHERBROOKE, QC, Canada, Oct 27, 2026 – Tekna (OSE: TEKNA), a world-leading provider of advanced materials and plasma systems, is pleased to announce that the company’s Materials business area has received significant orders totaling CAD 1.64 million for titanium metal powder. The orders are expected to be delivered throughout 2027.

The orders were placed by an established distributor serving medical device manufacturers globally. They are for Ti64 titanium alloy powder in the particle size range for laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), an additive manufacturing process used to build complex, high-precision parts.

“As one of the fastest growing markets for additive manufacturing, the medical sector continues to see strong demand for patient specific devices and implants requiring high-quality materials. These orders reflect the strength of our long-standing relationship with this distributor and support our continued efforts to expand our presence in the medical sector,” said Tekna CEO Claude Jean.

Suppliers to the medical device industry are typically required to hold certified quality management systems. Tekna has an established track record supplying the medical sector, and its Materials business area recently renewed its ISO 13485:2016 certification for the design and manufacture of medical devices. The certification confirms that Tekna’s processes and materials meet the strict requirements set for medical applications.

The new orders will be included in the Company’s order intake for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Tekna will publish its interim report for the third quarter on November 5, 2026.
