Trinamix Launches CAD Vault for Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM Powered by OpenBOM Cloud PDM

SANTA CLARA, CA, USA, Oct 28, 2026 — Trinamix, an award-winning Oracle partner with end-to-end expertise across Oracle applications, including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Hub (PDH), and Master Data Management (MDM), announced a strategic partnership with OpenBOM and the launch of Trinamix CAD Vault for Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM at Oracle AI World 2026. The solution adds a native cloud Product Data Management (PDM) layer to Fusion: it manages CAD files and work in progress within the tools engineers already use, then releases items and engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) into Oracle under formal change control.

Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM serves as the system of record for released items, revisions and BOMs, but the design work behind them happens in CAD. As manufacturers move to Fusion from Agile PLM, Windchill, Teamcenter or spreadsheet-based processes, their CAD data often stays behind in on-premises vaults and network drives. That ties engineers and suppliers to the corporate network and creates a separate migration that can stall the move to the cloud.

Trinamix CAD Vault closes that gap by serving as the PDM layer beneath Fusion: CAD Vault manages the design work, while Fusion PLM governs what is released. It is part of a complete Fusion PLM program from Trinamix, which includes assessment, implementation of Fusion PLM and Product Hub, migration of PLM data and CAD files, and integration with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and SCM or Oracle E-Business Suite.

Built on OpenBOM’s native, multi-tenant cloud PDM, the solution keeps local CAD workspaces in sync with the cloud, allowing files to open and save at desktop speed, even offline. Every sync is automatically versioned, collaborative locks coordinate editing, and remote engineers and suppliers can connect without a VPN or a vault server for IT to maintain.

Because files and BOMs share one data model, the engineering BOM comes directly from the CAD structure. When a design is ready, the team publishes it to Fusion as a change order, with added and changed parts redlined for approval in Oracle’s change workflow. Any Fusion item can be traced back to the design and file versions behind it.

Trinamix CAD Vault at a glance

  • CAD systems: Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS, PTC Creo and Onshape, Siemens NX and Solid Edge, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion and AutoCAD, Altium Designer, and other systems including CATIA, through OpenBOM’s integration toolkit.
  • CAD repositories migrated: Agile PLM File Manager, Windchill PDMLink, Teamcenter, SOLIDWORKS PDM, Autodesk Vault and network drives.
  • Migration path: Oracle Agile PLM, PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter or homegrown processes to Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM, and Product Hub, integrated with Fusion ERP and SCM or Oracle E-Business Suite.

Trinamix leads the Oracle integration and implementation, while OpenBOM provides the cloud PDM platform. The Fusion integration is available now through an early adopter program in which customers help shape its release rules and configuration.

“Every customer moving to Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM asks us the same question: where does the CAD work go?” said Joseph Raj, AVP and Head of PLM/PDH Practice, Trinamix. “Leaving design files in an on-premises vault defeats the purpose of going to the cloud. Trinamix CAD Vault gives engineers a native cloud workspace and gives Fusion a released BOM built from the design itself, not retyped from it.”

“Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM is where manufacturers keep the record of what they release. What has been missing is the engineering memory behind that record,” said Oleg Shilovitsky, CEO and co-founder of OpenBOM. “OpenBOM keeps CAD fast on the desktop and connects every file to the items and BOMs it defines. With Trinamix, we are bringing that connection to Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM customers.”

Getting started.

Manufacturers running or moving to Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM can join the early adopter program with a two-week CAD landscape assessment, followed by a pilot that takes one of their own assemblies from CAD change to approved change order in a Fusion sandbox. Commercial options can align with a customer’s existing Oracle Cloud relationship.
