3DChimera to Offer Evonik’s INFINAM SLS PA12 Powders in US

PISCATAWAY, NJ, USA, Apr 8, 2025 – Evonik, a leading innovator in 3D-printable polymers, has partnered with US-based 3DChimera for the distribution of Evonik’s selective laser sintering (SLS) powders in America.

The current agreement covers a select range of Evonik’s high-quality INFINAM powders, including variants that feature high flexibility, high temperature resistance, high stiffness, and a special carbon-black embedded powder. All INFINAM nylon powders are specifically optimized for industrial powder bed fusion.

“This partnership with 3DChimera is part of Evonik’s strategy to expand the reach of solutions in additive manufacturing technology,” said Jeffery Beach, director of the Long Chain Polyamides team in Evonik’s Americas Region. “We’re pleased to collaborate with 3DChimera and excited about working closely together towards the benefit of all our customers.”

The partnership will allow 3DChimera to provide technical assistance and guidance on the optimal use of Evonik’s SLS PA12 powders, so customers can maximize the benefits of these high-performance materials.

“We are thrilled to partner with Evonik and bring their exceptional SLS PA12 powders to our customers on our online marketplace,” said Alex Hussain, Co-Founder & CEO at 3DChimera. “This collaboration allows us to enhance our product portfolio and offer innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. We are committed to delivering the highest quality materials and support to help our customers succeed in their projects.”

A pioneering manufacturer in 3D-printing technologies, Evonik produced the first polyamide 12 powder material for powder bed fusion in 1996. Since then, the company has been constantly developing leading solutions for 3D-printable applications. As recently as 2023, Evonik introduced the world’s first carbon-fiber reinforced PEEK filament for long-term 3D-printed medical implants. Some of Evonik’s latest innovations will be showcased at booth 1725 during the RAPID + TCT additive manufacturing trade show, held from April 8 to 10 in Detroit, Michigan.

Based in Miami, Florida, 3DChimera is a leading solutions provider of 3D-printing technology, helping a wide range of customers – such as universities, industrial manufacturers, and aviation firms – achieve superior results in their additive manufacturing processes.
