Health New Zealand Selects dRofus to Standardize, Scale Healthcare Facility Planning Nationwide

MUNICH, Germany, OSLO, Norway, WELLINGTON, New Zealand and SYDNEY, Australia, Oct 27, 2025 – Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) has signed a long-term national agreement to implement dRofus, Nemetschek’s leading planning and data management solution, across its healthcare infrastructure projects. This strategic move marks a major step toward standardizing healthcare facility planning and data management across the country and supports New Zealand’s broader goal of delivering high-quality, future-ready healthcare environments.

With this agreement, Health New Zealand will leverage dRofus to support the implementation of national healthcare facility standards, enable consistent project delivery methods, enhance budgeting and procurement of major medical equipment and FF&E, and contribute to their Asset Management Information System (AMIS) program, which aligns with the National Data Standard currently under development.

dRofus is a unique, purpose-built software for planning and managing data in building projects. It provides all stakeholders – from planners to designers, contractors, and owners – with a central database for managing requirements, equipment, room data, and BIM models. The platform is particularly well-suited for complex projects in sectors such as healthcare, transportation, and education, where data consistency, collaboration, and change management are critical.

“Health New Zealand is building a foundation for long-term excellence in healthcare infrastructure,” said Sunil Pandita, Chief Division Officer Planning & Design and Digital Twin Business Unit at the Nemetschek Group. “This national agreement reflects their commitment to innovation and standardization, and we are honored that dRofus will play a central role in supporting their goals.”

“This is a major step for Health New Zealand,” said Margo Kyle, GM National Health Facility Planning. “Our goal is to ensure consistent, high-quality healthcare environments across the country. dRofus offers the robust data and planning tools we need to deliver this vision, from early planning to construction and beyond.”

Initially, the agreement will support two major projects, with broader deployment in multiple stages. The long-term ambition is for all healthcare facility projects across New Zealand to utilize dRofus as part of a unified digital planning and asset management ecosystem.

“Working with Health New Zealand is a significant validation of the capabilities and flexibility of dRofus,” said Chris Razzell, Managing Director of dRofus. “We are thrilled to support their ambitious goals and help establish best-in-class data and project delivery standards that will benefit all stakeholders in the New Zealand healthcare system.”

This agreement highlights the Nemetschek Group’s continued commitment to advancing digital solutions in the AEC/O industry and underscores the role of dRofus in driving digital transformation at scale.
