ACTCAD 2027 Update 537 Released

REDMOND, WA, USA, Jul 20, 2026 – ACTCAD 2027 new updated 537 released for Premium and Standard variants. This is a minor release with few important fixes and improvements as mentioned below:

This release introduces powerful new terrain and image commands, enhances usability with improved snapping and dialog controls, and resolves key stability issues across drawing, preview, and resource management. Together, these updates deliver a smoother, more reliable design experience.

New Commands

  • Introduced the AUTOSECTION command for automatic terrain section generation
  • Added the POLYSECTION command to create sections along selected polylines
  • Introduced the AUTOSECTIONLINE command for automatic section line creation
  • Added the AUTOCURVE command to generate contour polylines from 3D terrain faces
  • Introduced the POINTTEXT command for automatic elevation text generation from survey points
  • Added the TEXTPOINT command to create survey points from elevation text
  • Introduced the ELEVTEXT command for placing elevation labels on contour lines
  • Added the ELEVARROW command to display slope direction arrows on terrain
  • Introduced the SLOPEVECTORS command for displaying terrain slope vectors and values
  • Added the SLOPECOLORING command to visualize terrain slopes with color representation
  • Added the IDENSITY command to adjust raster image brightness and contrast
  • Introduced the IBFILTER command with advanced bitonal image filtering features
  • Added the ITOUCHUP command for interactive raster image editing and cleanup
  • Introduced the IMANAGE command for managing multiple images within a drawing
  • Added support for editing Small Image and Large Image fields in the CUI dialog
  • Added support for vlax-for execution in FAS applications

Enhancements

  • Enhanced the REVCLOUD command with additional creation options
  • Improved Object Snap priority for the Extension (EXT) snap
  • Improved DCL popup_list support for AutoCAD-compatible list syntax
  • Enhanced DCL list parsing and string handling for popup_list controls
  • Improved preview bitmap handling for drawings without an associated color palette
  • Improved visibility of frozen layer names in Dark Theme

Fixes

  • Fixed Explorer Layers to retain column order and widths
  • Fixed resource library loading to improve application stability
  • Resolved an issue when running -REFEDIT during an active reference editing session
  • Fixed context menu positioning in floating drawing windows on secondary monitors
  • Fixed a crash that could occur during ETRANSMIT with invalid external references
  • Resolved an issue where the _VERNUM system variable could return null during initialization
  • Fixed drawing preview generation for AC1018 DWG files
  • Fixed incorrect export of nested block coordinates in ATTEXT and EATTEXT commands
  • Resolved block scaling issues related to unit conversion
  • Fixed entity selection behavior when using selection filters
