MELBOURNE, Australia, Aug 3, 2026 – ANCA has announced the appointment of Edmund Boland as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 August 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the global manufacturer of CNC grinding and automation technology.
Edmund succeeds Martin Ripple, who will leave ANCA at the end of July following a transition period that has supported a seamlesss leadership handover.
Announcing the appointment, ANCA Chairman Gavin Smith said the Board had unanimously endorsed Edmund’s appointment based on his proven leadership, deep understanding of ANCA’s technology, operations and customers, and his ability to lead the company through its next phase of growth.

Edmund’s connection with ANCA spans most of his life. He first worked within the business during school holidays across a range of departments, including the factory floor, stores and the Grinding Centre. Over the past two decades he has built a career across finance, global supply chain, international leadership and operations, holding senior roles including General Manager of ANCA Europe and most recently General Manager of ANCA CNC Machines.
His experience has given him a comprehensive understanding of the company’s technology, global operations and the challenges faced by precision manufacturers worldwide.
Reflecting on his appointment, Edmund said ANCA’s success has always been built on strong customer relationships and a commitment to solving complex manufacturing challenges.
