Pune, India – Altem Technologies successfully hosted the launch of the Artec Jet in Chinchwad, Pune, bringing together industry leaders from automotive, healthcare, architecture, oil & gas, and other sectors. The event highlighted the growing importance of specialized 3D scanning technologies in accelerating digital transformation across Indian industries.
The newly launched Artec Jet by Artec 3D is positioned as one of the most versatile scanning solutions to date. Designed for large-scale, survey-grade data capture, the system can be deployed via handheld, backpack, vehicle, pole, cage, robot, or drone—enabling users to scan complex and hard-to-reach environments with ease.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Abhishek Kalra, Associate Vice President at Altem Technologies, who provided an overview of the company’s engineering solutions portfolio.
Mr. Andrew Varlamov, Sales Channel Director (EMEA Region), Artec 3D, presented the company’s global footprint and its applications across industries including aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment, public infrastructure, life sciences, and education. He also introduced Artec’s diverse product portfolio, featuring solutions such as Artec Leo, Artec Ray II, Artec Spider II, Artec Micro II, Artec Point, and the newly launched Jet.
Artec’s portfolio spans target-free handheld scanners, desktop systems, long-range LiDAR solutions, and target-based metrology scanners—covering applications from small object digitization to large-scale environment capture.
A key highlight was the presentation on Artec Studio, the company’s professional software platform that integrates 3D scanning, AI-powered photogrammetry, reverse engineering, and inspection workflows. The software enables users to generate highly accurate, CAD-ready 3D models with improved speed and automation.
Mr. Denis Baev further elaborated on selecting the appropriate scanning solution based on application requirements and shared technical insights into the capabilities of Artec Jet. Demonstrations showcased its high-speed scanning performance, including large-scale urban and building scans using backpack configurations, covering several kilometers within minutes.

The event also featured compelling real-world case studies, including rapid scanning of Shaniwar Wada in approximately five minutes using handheld mode, and detailed digitization of Mahadji Shinde Chhatri. Additional applications demonstrated included scanning of underground tunnels using drones and handheld systems, as well as body scanning for healthcare applications.
The event concluded with positive feedback from attendees, highlighting the growing relevance of 3D scanning technologies in enabling accurate digital twins, improving inspection workflows, and supporting innovation across industries.
