BEACON India Successfully Hosts SOLIDWORKS Innovation Day 2026 in Ahmedabad, Showcasing SOLIDWORKS 2027 and the Future of AI-Driven Engineering

Ahmedabad, October 29, 2026: BEACON India successfully hosted SOLIDWORKS Innovation Day 2026 in Ahmedabad, bringing together professionals from the engineering, design, and manufacturing industries to explore the latest developments in product design, simulation, artificial intelligence, and digital manufacturing.

The event showcased the latest release of SOLIDWORKS 2027 and highlighted how AI, connected engineering platforms, simulation, and manufacturing technologies are transforming the product development landscape.

The event commenced with an opening video introducing the next era of engineering, followed by a welcome address from Mr. Nainar Ramaswamy, CEO of BEACON, who welcomed the attendees and set the context for a day of technology presentations, demonstrations, and industry interactions.

AI and the Changing Landscape of Engineering

Mr. Mahesh Biradar of Dassault Systèmes shared his perspectives on the importance of continuous learning in the age of artificial intelligence. Emphasising the need for engineers to adapt to rapidly changing technologies, he highlighted an important message:

“The tools will keep changing. The people who keep learning will keep leading.”

Continuing the focus on AI, Mr. Nilesh Wakode, Industry Process Consultant Manager – India Central, Dassault Systèmes India, explored the growing role of artificial intelligence in SOLIDWORKS. His session highlighted how AI can help engineers reduce repetitive tasks, support smarter design decisions, improve productivity, and focus more on solving complex engineering challenges.

SOLIDWORKS 2027: What’s New?

The SOLIDWORKS 2027 technical sessions were led by Mr. Pruthviraj Mistry, Customer Success Manager at BEACON, along with Mr. Bhavesh, who presented the latest enhancements in the new release.

The sessions covered AI-powered workflows, smarter modelling capabilities, improvements in assemblies and drawings, and enhanced collaboration features. These developments are designed to help engineers simplify complex design tasks and improve productivity throughout the product development process.

Advancements in SOLIDWORKS Simulation

Simulation technology was another major focus of the event.

Mr. Shivkant Tilekar, Technical Manager – Simulation at BEACON, presented the latest SOLIDWORKS 2027 Simulation enhancements, including time-dependent bolt preload in nonlinear analysis, improved stress evaluation, and streamlined workflows in SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation and Plastics.

Taking the discussion further, Dr. Ardhendu Kundu, Senior Solution Consultant – EMAG Simulation at BEACON, explored advanced simulation capabilities, focusing on nonlinear analysis, structural performance evaluation, stress, deformation, and the behaviour of components under different loading and operating conditions.

These enhancements help engineering teams evaluate design performance, identify potential issues, and make informed decisions before moving to physical prototyping and testing.

Design Automation with DriveWorks

Mr. Ketan Panchal, Technical Territory Manager – DriveWorks, demonstrated how design automation can help manufacturers manage customised product development.

The session explored how SOLIDWORKS 2027’s Model Variability capabilities, combined with DriveWorks rules-based automation, enable engineering teams to configure product variants by modifying parameters, optional features, and component selections.

This approach helps manufacturers automate the creation of customised parts, assemblies, and drawings while maintaining design consistency and reducing repetitive engineering work.

Customer Success: Real-World Engineering Experiences

Customer experiences added an important industry perspective to the event.

Mr. Pritish Rajput and Mr. Chirag from EPCM Service and Supply Pvt. Ltd. shared their real-world engineering journey at SOLIDWORKS Innovation Day 2026. Their session highlighted practical experiences and the role of engineering technology in addressing business and product development challenges.

Connecting the Product Lifecycle with 3DEXPERIENCE and Virtual Twin

Mr. Anirudh Ayachit, General Manager – Enterprise Solutions at BEACON, presented how 3DEXPERIENCE, Virtual Twin, Digital Twin, and DELMIAWorks technologies work together to connect processes across the product lifecycle.

The session highlighted how Enterprise AI can support smarter decision-making and connected workflows, giving businesses greater visibility, improving collaboration, and bridging the gap between digital planning and shop-floor execution.

AI-Powered CAM with CAMWorks

Mr. Sambit Pradhan, APAC Sales Manager at HCL Technologies Ltd., demonstrated how AI-powered CAMWorks is helping transform CNC programming and manufacturing workflows.

The presentation highlighted capabilities such as automatic feature recognition, intelligent machining strategies, and toolpath generation directly from CAD geometry.

The session also explored associative CAD-CAM integration, which allows design changes to be reflected in machining workflows, reducing repetitive programming efforts while helping manufacturers maintain accuracy and consistency.

Formlabs 3D Printing: From Prototyping to Production

Additive manufacturing was another key attraction at the event.

Mr. Vinod V from BEACON presented Formlabs SLA and SLS 3D printing technologies, highlighting their applications in rapid prototyping, functional part development, and production.

Attendees also had the opportunity to experience live demonstrations of the Formlabs Form 4 and Form 4L printers, showcasing professional resin-based 3D printing capabilities and their potential for producing detailed prototypes and functional components.

Recognising Innovation and Community Participation

The event also celebrated the participation and creativity of attendees through various contests, including Model Mania, the Graffiti Wall Contest, and the LinkedIn Contest.

Winners were recognised and presented with gifts by the BEACON leadership team, adding an interactive and engaging dimension to the event.

Looking Ahead

The event concluded with an address by Mr. Nainar Ramaswamy, CEO of BEACON, who brought together the key themes of innovation, collaboration, and technological progress.

SOLIDWORKS Innovation Day 2026 in Ahmedabad marked another successful chapter in BEACON India’s nationwide event series. By bringing together technology experts, engineering professionals, customers, and industry leaders, the event provided a platform to explore emerging technologies and understand their practical applications across design, simulation, and manufacturing.
