MAYSVILLE, KY, USA, Jul 16, 2024 – Carlson’s latest releases of their CAD software line, including Survey, Civil, Hydrology, GIS, Mining and Point Cloud, include IntelliCAD 12 as well as AutoCAD® 2025 compatibility, new features and improvements, as well as powerful tools to make users more efficient in the office.
Of particular interest is the world-leading automated Feature Extraction from aerial datasets. This 3D, topo-ready linework extraction, based on machine learning, is found in the new, expanded Point Cloud Module. Among the options are automatic, layerized extraction of curbs, parking lines, paint strips, and building outlines.



The Mining module in 2025 brings PitMaster, which allows the fast, simple design of pits with switchbacks, multiple ramps, smooth bench transitions and tapers.
