ALICANTE, Spain, Apr 13, 2023 – The architecture, engineering and construction software company, CYPE, has completed its trade mission in Asia by signing of several collaboration agreements with one university in Japan and another in Vietnam to help train their students in the use of its applications adapted to the Open BIM workflow. These agreements will also improve their preparation with state-of-the-art technology, which will allow them to face the challenges faced by the construction industry.

CYPE will provide the University of Hanoi (Vietnam) and Shimane University (Japan) with the necessary licenses for students to use and learn how CYPE software works via the BIMserver.center platform, focusing in particular on solutions related to MEP, energy efficiency and building renovation.

The signing of these campus agreements follows the commercial visit that the Spanish technology company made between February and March this year. During this visit, company representatives visited the cities of Seoul (South Korea), Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Tokyo (Japan) to establish lasting relationships and collaborations with universities, local companies and firms working in international markets.

With these new agreements, CYPE is expanding its presence on the continent and its collaboration with universities in a geographical area where it already has around twenty campus agreements in India, Malaysia, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. 

“Collaborating with universities, schools and training centers is of vital importance to us in our international growth plan”, explains CYPE’s technical director, Carlos Fernández, who also adds that talks are underway with other Asian universities to bring the company’s software into their classrooms.

Asia, a strategic market for CYPE

In recent months, CYPE has been increasing its commercial visits to the Asian continent and its participation in professional meetings, such as the BIM Summit 2022 organized by the Malaysian Institute of Architects PAM at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. The company will return to Asia to participate in Xiamen (China) at the 2023 China International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Expo, specializing in solar photovoltaic energy, and in the Secutech Fire & Safety 2023 fire safety event in Taiwan.
