Eplus3D, Rosswag, qualloy Collaborate on Metal AM Solutions, Supply Chains

PFINZTAL, DUSSELDORF, KORNTAL-MUNCHINGEN, Germany, May 1, 2026 – Eplus3D, Rosswag Engineering and qualloy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly advance the use of next-generation metal additive manufacturing solutions as well as their supply chains.

Rosswag Engineering will invest in a new Eplus3D EP-M550 Metal PBF system featuring a build envelope of 550 × 550 × 450 mm and 8 lasers. The system will be installed at Rosswag’s new AM facility, currently under construction, and will be available from June 2026 for customer-specific testing, validation and application development. This investment marks a further step in Rosswag’s strategy to expand its industrial additive manufacturing capabilities towards larger and more complex components.

Eplus3D’s EP-M550 with the Closed Powder Loop Peripherals

The collaboration aims to combine Eplus3D’s large-scale industrial Metal PBF systems, Rosswag’s deep expertise in metal processing, heat treatment, machining and testing as well as qualloy’s high-quality metal powders to create an integrated and validated manufacturing ecosystem.

In this context, qualloy metal powder designed for Eplus3D systems will be systematically qualified in their Innovation Center in Korntal-Münchingen. Following qualification, the materials will be available to all Eplus3D customers with validated process parameters and powder specifications directly via the qualloy online shop.

In order to achieve this, all parties will engage in joint material qualification and parameter development. qualloy will act as a supply chain facilitator, whereas Rosswag will contribute its expertise in qualification and testing according to industry standards of components produced on Eplus3D systems. Together, the parties aim to validate industrial-grade process performance and develop user-ready applications and benchmarking capability.

Rosswag’s new system is particularly aimed at applications in energy machinery, pressure-bearing components, heat exchangers, and broader industrial applications. These fields require reliable, validated manufacturing processes and benefit significantly from the design freedom and scalability of large-format metal 3D printing.

“By combining our large-scale, industrial LPBF systems with Rosswag’s application expertise and qualloy’s material excellence, we are creating a fully integrated ecosystem that significantly lowers the barrier for true serial additive manufacturing. This collaboration is not just about technology, but about delivering validated, production-ready solutions with great part pricing that enable our customers to scale with confidence.” Enis Jost, Deputy General Manager, Eplus3D Tech GmbH.

“The EP-M550 combines a compact machine design with very high productivity and a large build envelope. This is an important step toward larger and functionally optimized LPBF components. It allows us to begin closing the gap between today’s additively manufactured parts and complex large-scale forged and machined components. Combined with our integrated process chain, we are well positioned to bring additive manufacturing into industrial-scale applications.” Dr.-Ing. Sven Donisi, CEO, Rosswag GmbH.

“We’re excited to partner with Eplus3D to develop a qualified powder line for their systems. With validated, high-quality and cost-efficient materials, we provide customers with an optimally matched material and process setup to drive industrial additive manufacturing toward scalable serial production.” Yannik Wilkens, CEO, qualloy GmbH.

This partnership reflects a shared vision to accelerate the industrialization of metal additive manufacturing by combining the machine technology of Eplus3D, the material innovation of qualloy, and the application, industrialization, and process expertise of Rosswag Engineering. Together, the companies aim to deliver a high-performance, validated, and commercially viable additive manufacturing ecosystem that enables customers to transition from prototyping to true serial production.
