SURREY, UK, Feb 14, 2020 – The national UK launch of NCSIMUL and FASYS under Hexagon’s Production Software portfolio, takes place at this year’s forthcoming MACH exhibition.

Both products form part of Hexagon’s end-to-end integrated solution for creating Smart Factories in line with Industry 4.0 technologies. NCSIMUL virtually builds the real-life machining environment to avoid errors, decrease set-up times and switch CNC programs between machines. It performs to increase shop-floor productivity and reduce manufacturing costs. NCSIMUL is the all-in-one solution for smart CNC machining embedding 5-axis simulation software.

NCSIMUL can be found on stand 412 in Hall 20, while the FASYS launch spearheads seven other Hexagon software systems being demonstrated on stand 600 in Hall 19 at the Birmingham NEC from April 20 – 24. Visitors will see how Hexagon’s range of CNC simulation software, CAD/CAM, and factory automation packages, integrate seamlessly to transform manufacturing, tailored for three specific markets: machining, die and mould, and sheet metal. Data fully connects to provide a complete digital twin, building intelligence into all processes.
Along with FASYS on stand 600 in Hall 19, visitors will see how EDGECAM combines with the WORKPLAN MES system and Hexagon’s CAD viewer WORKXPLORE for the machining market; how WORKPLAN and WORKXPLORE combine with WORKC and VISI for mould and die toolmakers, and with RADAN for sheet metal manufacturers. And NCSIMUL works with the full range of production software across all three markets.
In addition, Hexagon’s CAD/CAM systems will be used in live machining demonstrations on a number of machine tool companies’ stands, who use the software to produce code that shows each machine’s full capabilities. Strategic Partnership Manager Wes Tonks says: “Partnering in this way gives a better understanding of a manufacturer’s specific requirements, and allows the machine tool supplier to introduce the applicable Hexagon solution.”
