Kochi, India, July 2024 – The ZWCAD India Partner Meet 2024 was held last week at the serene Backwater Ripples resort in Kumarakom, Kerala. Organized by Hope Technologies Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of ZWSOFT in India, the event gathered ZWCAD partners from across the nation, marking a significant milestone with many new partners joining since last year’s meet. This year’s picturesque Kerala location was a departure from previous meets held in Bengaluru, offering attendees a unique and refreshing experience.
Most participants, including partners and team members from Hope Technologies, arrived on July 11, 2024. The evening featured a delightful sunset cruise on Vembanadu Lake followed by a networking dinner, setting the stage for the event. Backwater Ripples provided excellent facilities and services, contributing to the event’s success.
The main event on July 12, 2024, commenced with a comprehensive product overview of ZWCAD 2025 and ZWCAD MFG presented by Tanmay Lakhan, Territory Manager at Hope Technologies. Tanmay emphasized the three major factors for software success: stability, performance, and user-friendliness. He highlighted the latest features of ZWCAD 2025, including enhanced customization options, support for flyout panels, and the ability to drag and combine panels, significantly improving both 2D and 3D capabilities. Additionally, Tanmay introduced innovative features such as Lock/Unlock, SMART SELECT, SMART MOUSE, SMART VOICE, FILE COMPARE, and SMART PLOT, alongside new features in ZWCAD MFG.
Gurumurthy N from Hope Technologies presented the all-in-one CAx solution, ZW3D 2025. He discussed new features such as direct editing, solid-surface hybrid modeling, flexible embossing, morphing, and sheet metal design, noting ZW3D’s growing traction in various sectors, including die and mold, consumer goods, and machine tools.
This year’s meet featured presentations from prominent companies in CAD automation in India, showcasing advanced tools for the AEC and Mechanical industries:
Rakesh Rao from Designsense Software, Bengaluru, showcased innovative add-ons for .dwg CAD users, particularly ZWCAD. He demonstrated CADPower, which offers over 400 LISP routines to boost productivity, and GeoTools, a plug-in for geo-data applications beneficial for GIS data creation, surveying, and mapping.
Raju N from ESurveying Softtech India Pvt. Ltd. showcased ESurvey CADD and ESurvey Water plug-ins for ZWCAD, highlighting their applications in earthwork, contouring, road design, and water distribution.
Prakash Bajaj, Founder of Computer Help and IIT alumnus, presented plug-ins simplifying building designs, such as PLANWIN and Intze Tank Automation, demonstrating their efficiency in AEC work.
Jacob Panamthanath, CEO of Hope Technologies, and Kasif Ikbal, Marketing Manager, outlined the 2024-25 marketing plan, discussing past and upcoming events, webinars, and partner support initiatives. They introduced a new CRM system for partners and shared their CSR activities, including providing free medical treatment to the underprivileged in Bengaluru.
The keynote address by Saroop Chand, Founder of Adroitec Group, the parent company of Hope Technologies, was a highlight. He shared insights from his 30+ years in the CAD industry, emphasizing key success factors: focus combined with passion, reach, speed, support, and honesty.
The ZWSOFT team from China joined virtually. Vicky Su, Asia Business Director, and Bryan Huang, Channel Manager for India, discussed the ZWSOFT business roadmap, highlighting the company’s vision, achievements, and future goals, aiming to position ZWSOFT alongside industry giants like Siemens and Dassault.
Partners also shared their experiences, including Vipin Alazhat from Tridax Engineering Software, Kochi, Ramanand Kini from Technosys Soft Solutions, Bengaluru, and Paras Singhvi from Micro Equipment Corporation.
