Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the ZWCAD India Partner Meet 2024 at Backwater Ripples, Kumarakom, Kerala, as a media partner. Organized by Hope Technologies Pvt. Ltd., the distributor of ZWSOFT, the event brought together ZWCAD partners from across India. It was wonderful to see many new partners joining the fold since last year’s meet. While previous events were held in Bengaluru, this year’s meet took place in the picturesque location of Kerala.

Most attendees, including partners and Hope Technologies team members, arrived at the venue a day before the event on July 11, 2024. That evening, we enjoyed a sunset cruise on Vembanadu Lake, adjacent to the resort, followed by a networking dinner. Backwater Ripples proved to be an excellent choice, offering great facilities and services.

On July 12, 2024, the event commenced with a product overview of ZWCAD 2025 and ZWCAD MFG by Tanmay Lakhan, Territory Manager at Hope Technologies. He highlighted three major factors for software success: stability, performance, and user-friendliness. The latest version of ZWCAD offers enhanced user experience through flexible customization features, support for flyout panels, and the ability to drag and combine panels. He also discussed the new features in ZWCAD MFG, emphasizing the rich standard part library and other enhancements.

This year’s event included presentations from leading companies in CAD automation in India, who have developed robust tools for the AEC and Mechanical industries.

Gurumurthy N from Hope Technologies presented the all-in-one CAx solution, ZW3D 2025. He discussed new features like direct editing, solid-surface hybrid modeling, flexible embossing, morphing, and sheet metal design. ZW3D is gaining traction in various sectors, including die and mold, consumer goods, and machine tools.

Raju N from ESurveying Softtech India Pvt. Ltd. showcased the ESurvey CADD and ESurvey Water plug-ins for ZWCAD, highlighting their applications in earthwork, contouring, road design, sewer network design, and water distribution.

Prakash Bajaj, Founder of Computer Help and an IIT alumnus, presented various plug-ins that simplify building designs, including PLANWIN and Intze Tank Automation, and demonstrated how these tools reduce time and effort in AEC work.
