PBS Group, ONE3D Collaborate on Use of 3D Printing in Engine Manufacturing

PRAGUE, Czech Republic, Oct 22, 2025 – PBS Velká Bíteš, a member of the PBS GROUP, and technology company ONE3D have signed a project agreement to collaborate on the use of additive manufacturing (3D printing) in the redesign of the TJ40 aircraft engine and selected components. The project aims to innovate traditional manufacturing processes and pave the way for more efficient and cost-effective production.

“This project represents a great opportunity for both companies. We believe it will enable us to develop a more efficient and cheaper production process that can also be applied to other types of engines,” said Lukáš Kobolka, Executive Director of PBS Velká Bíteš.

“We are combining PBS’s experience with the compact TJ40 engine series and our additive technologies and know-how. In this joint project, our goal is to demonstrate the potential of industrial 3D printing beyond the aviation industry. We believe that together we will succeed in developing a manufacturing process that will reduce costs without compromising aviation quality requirements,” adds David Kadlčík | Co-Founder & CSMO.

The joint project between PBS and ONE3D is another step towards strengthening innovation activities in the Czech aviation industry and demonstrates how modern 3D printing technology is changing the way key technical equipment is developed and manufactured.
