FREMONT, CA, USA, Sep 28, 2026 – Velo3D, Inc. (Nasdaq: VELO), a metal 3D printing technology company that enables customers to build mission-critical metal parts, announced that Vic Fryzel has joined as Executive Vice President, Technology, and Robert Purnell as Senior Director, Operations. Together, they strengthen the technology and operational leadership supporting production at Forge 1, Velo3D’s Livermore Production Campus in California.

We also need the technology and operating discipline to turn that capacity into dependable customer delivery,” said Arun Jeldi, CEO of Velo3D. “Vic is focused on platform reliability, repeatability and production economics, while Robert is focused on manufacturing readiness, quality and execution. Together, they connect our technology with how we manufacture and deliver for customers.”
Fryzel brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling complex hardware and software systems at Carbon, Meta, Lyft and Google. At Velo3D, he oversees the technology roadmap across hardware, software, materials, automation, process engineering, data and artificial intelligence.
“Metal additive has already proven its ability to produce extraordinary parts. The next chapter is making production more reliable, repeatable and economically compelling at scale,” said Fryzel. “My focus is connecting our technology, software and data to improve performance today while building for greater scale.”
Purnell brings experience scaling manufacturing operations across aerospace and semiconductors, with leadership roles at Boeing Co., FormFactor Inc. and SpaceX’s Starlink, as well as service in the U.S. Marine Corps. At Forge 1, he leads the teams and operating systems responsible for safety, quality and delivery performance.

Their work also supports Velo3D’s Rapid Production Solutions offering, which provides customers access to production capabilities without requiring them to establish their own printer operations.
