Polymaker Launches Panchroma PLA Refills

CHANGSHU, China, Nov 25, 2025 — Polymaker has listened to the 3D printing community and is excited to announce the launch of refill spool options for the beloved Panchroma PLA line. Starting now, you can purchase Panchroma PLA as refills without the attached cardboard spool, making it easier than ever to load your favorite colors onto the master spool of your choice.

Over the past years, countless makers have asked for more sustainable and flexible filament solutions. Many have enjoyed our recyclable cardboard spools, which work well even in AMS units thanks to their hardened, edge-friendly design. However, there is a strong preference for rigid, reusable plastic spools among experienced users. Panchroma™ PLA refills make it possible to use your own reusable master spool or AMS-compatible spool while reducing waste and cutting costs.

Better for the Planet and Your Wallet

Using refills instead of new spools for every roll means less waste and fewer materials in each box. By purchasing Panchroma™ PLA in this refill format, you’ll get all the same quality and color choices at a lower price point, making it easier to stock up for big projects or experiment with new shades.

If you don’t already have a compatible master spool, we’ve got you covered! You can 3D print our official master spool design right at home. Printable master spool design link.

AMS Compatibility and Reusable Spool Details

We plan to launch an official Polymaker reusable spool in the coming months. Stay tuned! If you want to get started sooner, you can 3D print your own compatible spool for our refill format, just download our design here.
