Hanover/Herzogenaurach, Germany | February 25, 2026 | Motion Technology Company Schaeffler will present the industry of the future at the Hannover Messe 2026. Focus will be on the expanded product portfolio and know-how from eight product families. With them, the company covers the entire motion spectrum – from drive technology to energy generation to sustainable service solutions. Schaeffler will show how its innovative technologies boost efficiency and provide tangible added value in industrial applications. This year, Schaeffler will focus on the topics of humanoid robots and solutions for intralogistics.
Uwe Wagner, Chief Technology Officer of Schaeffler AG, says: “Schaeffler stands for unsurpassed innovative strength and continuous technological advancement. As a Motion Technology Company, we will use the example of humanoid robots in Hannover to show how we can bundle our technological strengths from different divisions in order to expand into new growth fields. This innovative strength provides the basis for sustainable growth for us and our customers.”
Dr. Jochen Schröder, Regional CEO Europe at Schaeffler AG, says: “The Hannover Messe is the world’s foremost industrial trade show and thus offers Schaeffler an ideal showcase for presenting to existing and potential future customers the innovative strength of its products, which create sustainable added value and contribute to the transformation of industry. With our eight product families providing a framework, we will concentrate this year on applications and solutions that are tailored to the needs of our customers and focus especially on future-oriented, fast-growing sectors such as humanoid robots and autonomous intralogistics systems.”
Key technologies for humanoid robots
Schaeffler plans to play a key role in the growing market of humanoid robots, relying on its many years of manufacturing expertise and high level of vertical integration. The company uses humanoid robots along the entire value chain, so it knows exactly what the market requirements are and can transfer proven solutions from the automotive and industrial sectors to robotics. With an extensive portfolio, and especially with its integrated linear and rotary actuators, which make up around half of the components of a humanoid robot, Schaeffler bundles its expertise as a leading provider in the field of motion technology. Through close cooperation with industry partners and leading research institutions, Schaeffler is positioning itself as a preferred technology partner in the field of humanoid robots. A highlight of the trade show appearance will be a “transparent” humanoid synchronized with a digital hologram. The interactive exhibit will show selected key components supplied by Schaeffler and provide insights into their functions and the underlying technologies. In this way, the exhibit will allow visitors to experience Schaeffler’s innovative strength and technological know-how in the field of humanoid robots up close.
Schaeffler drives autonomous intralogistics
From rolling bearing and linear motion technologies to electromechanical systems and condition monitoring: Schaeffler will demonstrate how a broad portfolio of high-precision motion and mechatronics solutions drives industrial automation. In a modular intralogistics system with a chain belt conveyor and an automated guided forklift, the added value provided by Schaeffler’s deep understanding of the customer will become apparent. Smart products and connected components will take center stage as the keys to further enhancing the performance and safety of industrial applications.
The product highlights will also include hybrid bearings, which combine ceramic rolling elements with rings made of rolling bearing steel to protect against electrical erosion damage. In the field of linear motion technology, the innovative electromechanical EWELLIX linear actuators in the EMA modular system will be presented. Offering different performance characteristics and a long service life, they are suitable for a wide range of applications, even with very high loads.
The trade show portfolio will be rounded out with the OPTIME Ecosystem, an industry-leading solution when it comes to condition monitoring and smart lubrication of machines. The solution offers sensors that can detect vibrations or unwanted voltage fluctuations and thus reveal mechanical malfunctions and electrical faults while they are still in their early stages. Maintenance employees are informed of the incipient faults via app and can take action to avoid unplanned downtime in manufacturing environments.
