On May 6, 2026, PELF Infotech Pvt. Ltd. successfully hosted the launch event of the newly introduced Artec Jet at the Ramee Grand Hotel, Pune. The event brought together professionals and decision-makers from sectors including defence, infrastructure, automotive, architecture, oil & gas, manufacturing, and urban development, reflecting the growing importance of advanced 3D scanning technologies in India’s digital transformation journey.

The newly launched Artec Jet was showcased as one of the most versatile large-scale scanning solutions available today. Designed for survey-grade data capture, the system supports multiple deployment configurations including handheld, backpack, vehicle-mounted, pole-mounted, robotic, cage-based, and drone-enabled operations. Its flexibility enables users to efficiently scan complex, large, and hard-to-access environments.
The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Ajinkya Huddar, who introduced the audience to the capabilities and applications of Artec 3D scanning technologies. He emphasized how government bodies, municipalities, and infrastructure planners can leverage digital scanning solutions for urban planning, smart city initiatives, sustainability, forensics, and heritage site preservation.
This was followed by an overview presentation from Mr. Shibshankar Chakraborty, who highlighted the range of engineering and digital manufacturing solutions offered by PELF Infotech. He discussed common industrial challenges such as missing CAD data, obsolete components, reverse engineering requirements, metrology, and inspection needs, while demonstrating how 3D scanning technologies help industries overcome these issues efficiently.

A ceremonial lamp lighting marked the formal inauguration of the event, attended by distinguished guests including Mrs. Shefali Vaidya, Independent Writer & Newspaper Columnist, Dr. Medha Kulkarni, Member of Parliament | Rajya-Sabha, Mr. Andrew Varlamov, Sales Channel Director EMEA Region of ARTEC, Mr. Denis Baev, Customer Experience Manager of ARTEC and Mrs. Himani Huddar, Director, Pelf Infotech. The official unveiling of the Artec Jet was performed by Dr. Medha Kulkarni and Mrs. Shefali Vaidya.
During her address, Dr. Medha Kulkarni expressed her appreciation for the technology and its broad industrial applications. She encouraged Indian industries to adopt advanced digital technologies to develop high-quality “Made in India” products for global markets. She also appreciated the role such technologies can play in urban infrastructure planning and community development.
Mrs. Shefali Vaidya spoke about the importance of preserving India’s cultural and architectural heritage using digital technologies. She highlighted the potential of 3D scanning for documenting ancient temples, forts, caves, and monuments, citing the example of the historic Kailasa Temple. She also discussed how traditional Indian textile patterns and heritage designs could be digitally preserved and recreated using advanced scanning solutions.

One of the major highlights of the event was the technical presentation by Mr. Denis Baev, who showcased several compelling real-world applications of Artec technologies. Demonstrations included rapid handheld scanning of Shaniwar Wada in approximately five minutes, along with detailed digitization of Mahadji Shinde Chhatri.
Mr. Andrew Varlamov presented an overview of Artec 3D and its global presence across industries such as aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment, infrastructure, life sciences, and education. He also introduced Artec’s extensive portfolio of solutions including Artec Leo, Artec Ray II, Artec Spider II, Artec Micro II, Artec Point, and the newly launched Artec Jet.

A key focus area during the event was Artec Studio, Artec’s professional software platform integrating 3D scanning, AI-powered photogrammetry, reverse engineering, and inspection workflows. The software enables users to generate highly accurate, CAD-ready 3D models with enhanced speed, automation, and workflow efficiency.
Further technical demonstrations showcased the capabilities of the Artec Jet in large-scale urban and infrastructure scanning applications. Backpack-based demonstrations highlighted the system’s ability to rapidly scan extensive areas spanning several kilometers within minutes, enabling fast and efficient creation of digital twins and survey-grade datasets.
The event concluded with positive feedback from attendees, who acknowledged the growing relevance of 3D scanning technologies in enabling digital twins, improving inspection workflows, supporting reverse engineering, and driving innovation across industries.
