BigRep, Endless Industries Collaborate to Advance Large-Format 3D Printing with Continuous Fiber Reinforcement

BERLIN, Germany, May 22, 2026 – BigRep GmbH and Berlin-based deep-tech company Endless Industries today announced a long-term global technology partnership aimed at industrializing and scaling large-format additive manufacturing with continuous fiber reinforcement.

After two years of joint development, Endless Industries’ continuous fiber technology has been successfully integrated into BigRep’s platform. The result is an industrial solution capable of producing large-scale, mechanically reinforced parts with continuous carbon fiber at economically viable cost levels.

From Development to Industrial Deployment

At the core of the partnership is the integration of Endless Industries’ continuous fiber system into the BigRep IPSO 105. The combination brings together BigRep’s high-temperature, large-format industrial printing platform and Endless Industries’ production-ready fiber reinforcement technology.

The outcome is parts with significantly higher strength than unreinforced plastics, delivered at significantly lower costs than traditional automated fiber placement processes.

A key pillar of the partnership is full system integration. Endless Industries develops print heads, materials, and software in a vertically integrated approach. BigRep contributes industrial hardware, a global service infrastructure, and an established partner ecosystem.

This alignment reduces system complexity and enables repeatable, production-grade manufacturing processes.

The integrated solution enables:

  • Processing of high-performance and high-temperature thermoplastics
  • Build chamber temperatures up to 100°C for enhanced process stability
  • Seamless integration of continuous fiber without changes to existing workflows
  • Optimized fiber architecture through Endless Industries’ proprietary “Akio” software platform

Unlike thermoset-based processes, all printed components remain fully recyclable.

“After two years of joint development, we’ve reached a level of technological maturity that will redefine the role of continuous fiber in industrial 3D printing. Now is the right time to bring this innovation to market,” said Thomas Janics-Jakomini, CEO of BigRep.

Stephan Knopf, CEO of Endless Industries, added: “Large-format composite manufacturing has traditionally been craft-based or required multi-million-dollar investments. This partnership removes those constraints. Customers now gain access to a production-ready system for high-strength parts without the traditional barriers to entry.”

New Applications in Industrial Manufacturing

The combined solution enables, for the first time, economically scalable applications for large-format composite parts made from PETG, Polyamide (PA), and PP:

  • Jigs and fixtures: High-strength industrial tools replacing metal or CNC-machined parts
  • Aerospace: Lightweight structural components made from high-performance materials
  • Medical and orthopedics: Customized, load-bearing devices such as orthoses and prosthetic components

These use cases benefit from high strength-to-weight ratios and digital manufacturing flexibility.

Commercial Rollout and Global Expansion

The partnership now enters its commercial phase with a phased market introduction:

  • Summer 2026: Launch of joint sales activities in Europe, with initial focus on the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
  • 2027–2028: International expansion across BigRep’s global partner network in Europe, the United States, Asia, and Australia

Both companies will also invest in scaling expertise, sales, and service infrastructure to support global adoption.
