Brazil 4.0: Driving a New Industrial Era with Innovation, Efficiency, and Advanced Technologies at Hannover Messe 2026

Brazil will take part in Hannover Messe 2026 with a delegation led by ApexBrasil, showcasing the innovative potential and growth prospects of the Brazilian industry, which is increasingly characterized by the adoption of new technologies

Brazilian industry is undergoing a cycle of modernization driven by ongoing support for transformation and investments made over the past few years in innovation, automation, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). This movement has been driven primarily by the government’s Nova Indústria Brasil (NIB) program, structured around six strategic missions. Among these, the mission dedicated to the digital transformation of industry stands out, having already mobilized R$ 84.6 billion (approximately 14 billion euros) in investments between 2023 and 2025, with a focus on areas such as semiconductors, industrial robotics, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data centers.

The results are already evident. Manufacturing revenue grew by 5.6% in 2024—the largest increase in 14 years—while the Brasil + Produtivo Program, part of NIB, has already supported more than 67,000 companies, generating average gains of 28% in productivity and 19% in energy efficiency.

This transformation is reflected in concrete examples of companies that will be present at Hannover Messe 2026, demonstrating to the world how Brazilian solutions combine automation, technology, and sustainability. Companies such as WEG, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electric motors, integrate automation and energy efficiency on an international scale. Novus uses industrial IoT for real-time process monitoring and control. In the automotive sector, Volkswagen incorporates production solutions compatible with lower-emission fuels, using technology created and developed in Brazil, while Embraer will present its eVTOL, highlighting the country’s capacity for advanced aeronautical innovation.

In other industrial sectors, companies such as Açoforja demonstrate how the optimization of engineering processes and the integrated use of technology in forging and production enable increased efficiency, reduced costs, and high-quality standards in large-scale operations. Vale, a global mining company, is developing projects focused on the decarbonization of steel production and the technological transformation of mining, combining large-scale operations with innovation. At Hannover Messe, the company will present initiatives developed with Casa Amazônia, which explore new technologies applied to the mineral sector, in a context where Brazil holds the world’s second-largest reserve of rare earth elements—strategic resources for technologies such as batteries, wind turbines, and semiconductors.

Together, these solutions demonstrate that Industry 4.0 is already a reality in Brazil, combining digitalization, automation, and energy efficiency. These companies will gain even greater visibility at Hannover Messe 2026, where Brazil will assume the role of Partner Country. The Brazilian delegation, coordinated by ApexBrasil, will bring more than 300 companies to the event, clearly reflecting a new industry: more efficient, digital, and integrated, prepared to compete in global value chains with greater technological intensity.

This initiative is supported by key institutions that reflect the diversity and strength of Brazil’s productive sector. Notable institutional partners include the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) and Vale. In the category of sponsors, participants include the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), the National Transportation Confederation (CNT), and Volkswagen. The initiative also has the support of strategic institutions for industry, innovation, and international cooperation, such as Embraer, the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), the Brazil-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Brasil), Deutsche Messe, the Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry (ABIMAQ), the Brazilian Electrical and Electronics Industry Association (ABINEE), and Softex, highlighting the broad coordination between the government, the productive sector, and representative entities around a common agenda of innovation, sustainability, and Brazil’s international integration.
